Sounds like Varilux X Series :O

Yes confirm its X-series.

But its not exactly unlimited vision, it's just that the reading zone and intermediate zone is wider and also the lenses have lesser distortion compared to other brands. But general feedback for the lenses is that they are really comfortable so far i heard

What I like most is their Sapphire Crizal Coating. Even looking at 45degree angle, I almost once mistook that the lenses wasnt inside when my parent was wearing them.

Wish that they could quickly launch their single vision lenses with Sapphire coat..

Hi bro gangsterkia, I was given the reading below after eye examination and the staff told me that my left eye has very mild astig and I see no diff during the eye examination hence the staff suggested to remove it so that my left eye will not be overstrain as I have teary left eyes. Do u think if this is alright? And how do I verify the authenticity of my Nikon lens when I get it, they put "Ophthalmic Lens" under description in the invoice I don't see Nikon in it.

This reduction of 0.25 degrees varies from different individuals. Some who are really emphasize on sharpness would want to have the -0.25 astig added into their prescription wheareas the other group of individuals e.g. myself included are fine with a reduced power. But it also depends on the magnitude of the degree. E.g. a -3.75 astig individual might value the extra 0.25 degree astig added in whereas another individual with a -0.50 astig might feel that w/o the added astig they are fine with it. There is no hard n fast rule to it Thus it all depends on the comfort of the patient.

In the invoice where they put ophthalmic lens, likely it's their POS/Point of sales software which usually states Frame, Opthalmic lens, Contact lens w/o the brand in their receipts/invoice . Usually you can request for the lens authenticity card which will state your prescription and all.

Glasses that wont slip?

I have been using tag heuer frames in the past (wont slip off due to the rubber used), however this line of frames have been discontinued =/.

Are there any other brands that are similar?

Hi Bro, I believe some shops still have Tag Heuer frames.

Whats your model number of your frame?

Are there lenses for prescription glasses that won't scratch easily? I have a bad habit of using my work shirts to wipe my lenses :D

Hi everyone, wondering anyone here could help me on this. By any chance or luck, do any optical shop have the tools to extract out a stripped or stuck screw? So that I can walk in to get it done and purchase new screws for my spectacles.
