Firstly, it depends on how high is your myopia and astig.

The moment it is high, you have to look at high index lenses which will cost more e.g. 1.6/1.67/1.74 index.

Next If you are also looking for better quality progressive lenses e.g. Essilor Physio/X-Series, Hoya ID series, Zeiss superb/Individual 2 or more, these lenses will cost minimally 550+++ and if it is high index then the cost will be about 200-300 more. Thus the lenses will be about 800+ ball park figure..

Better quality in terms of clarity and Lesser peripheral distortion.

Thanks Bro!

Hi Bro,

Our usual practice is to recommend progressive lenses based on client's needs & the level of comfort he/she require instead of selling by brands.

A pair of 1.67 index progressive lens with basic design starts from $370.
Depending on your needs, you can also choose to top up & have Add-ons like:

  • Higher index for even thinner lenses
  • Wider Angle lenses
  • Colour changing lenses (E.g. Transitions, Photochromic)
  • HEV Light (Blue) Filter (E.g. Asahi-Lite UV3G, Tokai Lutina)

:)

Thanks. Please pm me your shop.

My job nature uses the computer almost 3/4 of the day, what kind of blue filter lens is there in the market? Currently I am using some cheap blue filter lens + frame purchased from KSL (Dr Spec?)

And also, I actually have an Oakley frame but just want to fit the lens, anyone possible to quote a rough ballpark how much such lens will cost?

there are a number of brands in the market. the more reputable and known ones would be from zeiss, essilor, hoya, nikon.
if you use computer, you can also upgrade your lenses to computer lenses which would relax your eyes further with a slight addition of power rather than just a single vision since you use the computer alot.

may i know your degree? because if you like thinner lenses it will be more costly

if just blue filter lens, essilor lenses start from 170 for the 1.56 index . if you like it thinner, $210. that is the recommended retail price every shop will show.
if you want the lens that will help relax your eyes, it is about a $50 top up which might benefit you. (depending on your age)
prices above quoted is only for essilor lenses. just to give you a rough estimate.

hi pris!
very hard to answer this question as it is very subjective and you will get different answers from different people.
But people are welcome to share their pictures of glasses :)

I was at Japan last week and at Zoff, one of the eyewear chain shop. There is a new Japanese made 1.76 thin type of lens not sold elsewhere. Thinner than 1.74, but not too much

Just for info.

Tokai 1.76 Lenses are the thinnest in the world at the moment. Stores that retail Tokai lenses sells these lenses in Singapore.

Shamir Lenses are above average imo. Their Multicoat is fine. Price wise also pretty competitive with the other brands actually.

Nice. Just saw they are having this promo at Paris Miki. Time to chiong for it

Hi anyone here know where to change matte black and or rubber temple tip for metal frame glasses?

I want to replace mine with glossy temple tip as it tends to slide off easily even when adjusted

Morning!

Your best bet is to go back to your optical shop and request from them, they should be able to help you with that.
