Blue protect is a coating on top of the multi coat, so rather than blue protect coating coming out, it is the whole multicoat instead.

Unless you are mentioning about the embedded blue absorb coating then it is different.

Why leh? The blue protect is not a coating?

Just wondering nowadays there tons of spec shops around and from what I heard shops like owndays, zoff, oscar wylee all uses cheap frames and lens is that true? Thinking to make a spec with pc lens as I did mine back in jb for quite decent price for a hoya blue lens but Singapore should be quite costly

195 for the basic 1.56 blue protect iirc...

Thanks for providing the quote.

May I also confirm if the duravision blue protect is just a coating and the PC/office lenses have the blue coating in the lenses and prevent peeling off?

I think consumers in general have a lack of knowledge in the world of lenses....

No matter what, msia is cheaper for sure. But servicing if you ok with it then whenever you need help you just cross the causeway.

Cheap frames and cheap lens is subjective. They market is cheap so if it spoils fast, you can always change the frame quickly. I would say you pay for what you get. Certain people can get used to such quality lens, others no. No right or wrong in this..
But I personally prefer the better quality lenses of course even though I have quite high tolerance for clarity and all.

Yes, but if you going to use it only for office and work instead of wearing it all the time. Chances of coating peeling off and all is very minimal.

First pair... I suggest getting from zeiss or hoya since they are still having their lens promo.

Hoya dynamic summit to dynamic premium.

Zeiss... free upgrade tier.

zeiss free upgrade is until when? i have a frame which is shipped just today from US. it may take quite a while before it arrives. :s22:

however, i want to have zeiss lenses as for it.

I don’t think there is exactly a known cheapest place in Singapore..
Depends on how much the shop want to give you discount...

You mean the one at People’s Park Complex?

If yes then, it might have slipped off my mind. They are very professional, established and been in the industry for many years. Trained team of optometrist/opticians. Pricing should be pretty competitive.

Jamco as mostly as they have a wide selection of premium frames that some of our forumners are looking for.
