Hi therat, care to share how your hoya balansis compared with your hoya v+ ?

Balansis work well for me. It took me awhile to adept to it as it is my 1st progressive lens on 2014.

6 yrs later (2020), Balansis look a bit not clear while I'm working using my laptop.
V+ look clear while on laptop but I need to lift my chin up abit.

6-7 yrs time, I grown wiser same as my lao hua.
So I also dont know how to compare.

I was plan to get Balansis but my family member opt for v+. Since is 50% off, so I also upgrade to V+.

Not accurate for sure in Singapore. Probably study done somewhere else. What’s the sample size and ethnic group/race?

There is another chart that depicts the % of add power for different age groups.

According to the chart, those in 35-40 age group have 75.3% less than +0.5 and 22.1% needing +0.5-+1.00.

Those in 41-45 age group have 6% less than +0.5, 56.7% from +0.5 to +1.00 and 35.8% needing +1.00 to +1.50.

For age group 46-50, 68.1% will need +1.00 to +1.50 with 27.8% needing +1.50 to +2.00.

As your laohua/presbyopia increases, the intermediate zone will shift lower too which requires you to chin up or push your glasses higher... so computer lens comes in after that.

Crizal deep purple hue is damn ugly. Prefer light blue or the normal light green hue

I guess it’s all about preference, I matched the purple to a transparent/clear frame and it looks stunning on the individual, especially coupled with Transitions.

Got. Shopping mall maybe shop pay higher rent so costs passed on to us. Equipment i think depends the shop owner pockets deep enough or not bah. I dont think equipments are rented right? Need huge finances to buy. Asked gangsterkia before but he didnt reply maybe he too busy.

Yah transparent. A few of my frens also changed to clear frames too. Maybe 1-2 year rsthet than months
