Hi there! Apologies for the inc WOT.

The effects of antifatigue/digital lenses like hoya sync 3, Essilor eyezen or Zeiss digital lens/energizeme, is in a way felt naturally. You won’t feel like when you put it on and , suddenly, oh the computer or documents are a lot better.
The lenses with the add power at the bottom generally relaxes your eye muscles throughout the day. The add power at the bottom will take the load off your accomodative muscles so instead of 100% used throughout the day, maybe 60%?(the concept).
Regarding the 2-3 viewing zones, generally as digital lenses/antifatigue lenses have lower add(lao hua power/presbyopia power) as compared to progressives, thus the zones are more compact and why I mentioned antifatigue lenses have 2 zones usually. But as the add power increases like progressive +1.50 and above, the distinction between the viewing area becomes more obvious, thus the distance, intermediate and near zone as compared to antifatigue which is generally distance and near.
Such lenses is really easy to get adapted too. The degree at the bottom is decided by your practitioner based on your visual tasks, such lenses have default add like
Zeiss digital lenses-25,50,75,100,125
Eyezen-0.4/0.8 and one more…
Hoya sync 3-0.53,0.9,1.32
Thus your practitioner will and should be able to recommend a suitable add for you.
Hi Gangsterkia,
Thanks for responding, not sure on some terminology so apologies in advance if there is any parts that I interpret wrongly.

You mentioned that the add power at the bottom generally relaxes your eye muscles throughout the day. This is because it reduce the overall degree. (For example R : -5.00 +0.4 = 4.6 ?)

Add power for laohua/presbyopia is actually reducing the power so that they can see clearly ? Same as above example or it sort of like adding a magnifying lens so that they can see clearly.

In yr opinion,do u think It worth to invest with a anti fatigue glasses where a 1.67 lenses cost $410 and whether did the shop quoted on the higher range without any discounting?

1)yes it reduces the prescription. The nearer the work we do, the lesser we need on our prescription. That’s why sometimes when you make your new glasses, it seems so good and sharp for distance but after awhile at work, you might get some headache looking at documents etc(possibly the prescription)

2)I would say it’s definitely worth investing for your visual comfort. But on the shop discount etc… it depends on how comfortable you are with the practitioner…if you really like and wanna support them, then maybe even 5%-10% is also good enough discount or some just pay without discount.

Old flower eye how to settle ah? Still can read la but can't focus
Probably drop by your regular optical shop to do a monovision near test. If after testing, you still find it hard to focus, chances are there might be other issues such as eye strain, convergence issues. Which will requires a more detailed check

Can focus , just need more distance . This type need prescriptive or just reading spec? Thanks 👍

If need more distance, means the prescription is not enough. off the shelf reading glasses comes in just 1 fixed degree per spectacles. if both eyes have more than +0.50Ds difference, might cause abit of strain/discomfort

Based on my eye degree as below is the above lens ok or any other recommended lens? Or not sure i need iseikonic progressive lenses?

Last qns is hoya or zeiss better?

Right: +1.50 sph, -5.25 cyl axis 50°
Left: -5.00 sph, -1.00 cyl axis 75°

Right: +1.50 sph, -5.25 cyl axis 50° (Spherical equivalent: -1.125Ds)
Left: -5.00 sph, -1.00 cyl axis 75° (Spherical equivalent: -5.50Ds)

Magnification effect for both eyes:
Vertical: R -1.10% vs L -7.12%
Horizontal: R -1.99% vs L -7.98%

there's a 6% image size difference between both eyes,
@ 6% difference, Some people might have already had 1 eye suppressed. (meaning brain already exclude 1 eye image)
If your eyes are not suppressed, you could possibly see shadowing images on wordings at distance

Hi!
then Jamco optical at katong shopping center would be the best place for you! So close too.
They will be able to assist you well.
I just wanted to drop a note to thank you for this recommendation, @GANGSTERKIA. I always had my specs done in other countries and after spending some time with Jamco, I realise how much more Jamco knows about the specs and our eyes than all the “cheap” options I often went to in other countries. Hui Min was lovely to deal with and she knew exactly what I needed. I am wearing my new glasses now and very comfortable with them. It has been a great experience and it was definitely good value for money (it’s our eyes at the end of the day!).

lastly, do you have any recommendations for frame? I have round face. Hui Min at Jamco gave me a few options but they didn’t fit me well. Thanks.

If you see double/overlapping images at distance: do iseikonic progressive lenses.

If you don't see double at distance, go with Zeiss Lenses.
Zeiss lens quality pretty good 👍 only concern is if there's an issue, you'll need to travel back to MY to have it rectified

Hey there!
That’s good to know! Generally for rounder faces I would tend to recommend rectangular frames and are more edgier/angular at the side.
happy to hear that they managed to serve you well too!
