So zeiss should be best quality lens?
I am about 400 degree on short sightedness in my mid 30s.

Thinking of getting a zeiss smartlife digital photofusion X but not sure what index nor frame to use.

I have been using half frames 1.6x, non branded frames and lens from China.

What would be your recommendation for my first purchase of zeiss? Thinking of using the 50% off second pair for a blueguard pair.

This is my idea for my office job.
Pair 1 for daily use
Photofusion X lens 1.5x full frame titanium matsuda, should be around $500 lens + $180
Salesman recommended 1.5x. Said 1.5x can use for both half or full frame no issue. Though I read that 1.6x is more suitable for 400 degrees, and can use half frame.
Considering full frame because the lens is expensive, so better have good protection, even though I do not drop my specs often. But I very much prefer half frame due.

Pair 2 as spare
Blueguard 1.5x half frame titanium matsuda
$210 lens + $100 frame

Budget is 1k for one or two, can claim company's benefit.

Does brand of frames really matter?
And does anti blue light filter works in your opinion?

Zeiss & Tokai provides superior clarity, "sharpness" & brightness.
But since your previous pair of specs from china, sudden jump to Zeiss might cause abit discomfort.

I'ld suggest starting with Essilor, Asahi-lite or Hoya 1st. Get eyes slowly accustomed to these lenses before jumping up to Zeiss.

1.60 is a must for half rim. 1.56 will chip off pretty easily.

Not too concerned with brand of frame, should place more emphasis on material & quality.

What is the difference in purpose of blue coat and blue absorb. First time seeing it.
Was googling about zeiss blue uv and blueguard earlier.

Blue protect is blue coat version
Blueguard is Zeiss version of Blue (HEV) light absorb lenses

Blue Coat reduces ~30% overall blue light up to wavelength 550nm. Useful if your eyes are sensitive to glare.
Blue absorb lenses filters out ~94% of HEV(Harmful blue light) (up to 415nm).

Take a look at the link by 1st company to come out with Blue Absorb lenses:
studies done by Prof. Dr. Richard H.W. Funk & Prof. Dr. Amane Koizumi, shows the damages done by HEV light

LOL! Tokai's knowledge & expertise in material & design technology years ahead of the usual brands. Lutina was launched in 2018 if not wrong. Essilor & Zeiss finally caught up in 2022

is there anywhere that can customise a set of clip on sunglasses?

i have rather high degree so its difficult for me to do prescription sunglasses, trying to see if clip ons might be better for me

Yes, there are many practices that can do customised clip on sunglasses.
you can look at

It usually takes about 3 days to do it. They will customise it according to your frame shape so it will not be like too big or overexceed your frame.

Can I go to the normal Ownday ? or do I need to go for kids place?

They have a wide collection of children frames and are able to prescribe most forms of myopia control management.

Is it true that some shop can do Hoya Mystyle Profile and not Mystyle V+ due to lack of expensive equipment?
