Am new here, looking for some info and advise.

Am looking to upgrade my next pair to zeiss superb progressive with Flash coating.....but seems that all the shop I asked is not aware of this optional flash coating....can anyone here advise....many thanks in advance

Hello...no, not mirror coat....similar....Flash coat are less reflective and can be apply on clear and/or photofusion X lens

Digital lenses are anti-fatigue lenses, usually used for people who almost got "laohua" but havent gotten yet (>+0.87Ds). Not expensive.

But Super wide angle Progressive such as Zeiss Individual 2, Tokai Resonas X, Hoya Mystyle V+ & Asahi Lite 4k Premium are expensive. Think twice before going on these lenses. Once you're hooked on the level of comfort these lenses provide, there's no going back to the normal kind of progressives🫣

Any of these brand's most basic progressive design is already an upgrade over china lenses
Most basic lenses starts from ~$280

understand, but trying to appreciate how much more in cost and quality. Paid around $7xx for better range of made-in-china lens, but felt that not clear and wide enough.

Not an expert by any means, just a user. My ophthalmologist told me there was a huge difference between the Nikon lenses he paid for (over a thousand), which he liked, and the cheaper replacement he got later (he didn't say the brand, I'm guessing local made). The first was usable, the second not so.

My experience as well. Full disclosure I got my lenses from @Optometrist. They cost a bomb (1.5k) - Asahi Lite, but with progressive and prism lenses.

They have served me well cf. when I was using local-made progressives (500-600) which I gave up on after a while. So subjectively and anecdotally, there is a huge difference.

What is the range u are using. I'm undecided between 2 or 4m. 2m will be less distortion according to shop I was at. I'm using mine mostly at home and not at office. Other daily activities will be at supermarket where currently I got to take off/put on reading glass as I walk along aisle looking at items closely, which is troublesome.

Yes you are right, basically it’s a lighter mirror coat.
can be done on certain indexes for the lenses.

Have to see what's the lenses you're using to better advise you.
Higher price point doesn't necessarily equate good.

Being able to identify your issues/painpoint & successfully resolving it is more important.

Do you mind to elaborate a bit more. The computer glasses are not for reading and only for computer work. The progressive lens you took it out with you for reading far and near objects and you have another reading glass for reading books at home? That is 3 pairs of glasses, isn't that troublesome?

Well you can make a pair of progressive computer lenses at home, so that's just 2 pairs

Hmm, i thought the idea is to use one pair of office lens glasses for both reading and computer use. Why u dun use them for reading?

Office lenses is subtype of progressive lenses, for near to intermediate distance. So u should be able to use it for reading and computer usage up to 2 feet away. Maybe we talking different things. Is your lens single focus?

You can do prescription lenses for Oakley Juilet but not Oakley M-Frame Strike.

When making lenses for Oakley Juliet, do ask the shop if they are bending the lens to fit it in or is it already pre-cast curved
