I buy 2 pairs both at kwon shin bras basah. Limited selection though but i like the service there as they r not pushy unlike many other stores

Iirc one is at 600+, another 700+. Price inclusive of crizal lens. Doubt i b changing specs in the next 3-5 yrs as these 2 pair are the best i ever gotten.

Before i took the plunge i tried swiss flex. But didnt work out for me as they keep sliding down :(

wow 2 pairs. Great info Thanks!

With Crizal current promo on lens maybe can get 1 transition and 1 normal sunglass.

I saw the prevencia sample. It seems like both sides of the lens are the same? I see purplish reflections of ceiling lights on both sides of the lens

I thought prevencia only lens outer side (3rd person seeing) should only appear purplish? So does the inner side (side nearer eye, looking into lens) is also appear purplish?, our eye does not detect purplish because eyeball is looking into the lens very near to the lens?

i just meant when u wear it on, u wont be able to see the reflection yourself. of cos not by viewing from a distance, of cos u see the reflection on both sides lol.. as all lenses are not 100% transparent and shouldnt be.
same as u take a normal multicoat, u see reflection from both side one. if look through straight wont have.
i think u may just want to do basic lens, u may not be able to adjust to "blue control lenses"
main difference in this lens, you just gonna feel the yellowish effect by the coating. other than that, no nid worry about the reflections hahah. defintely better less reflection compared to hoya blue control lenses i guess.

Any idea on comfort? comparable to tag?

shouldnt lose to tag, even a 50dollar frame may not lose to tag's comfort. as long it fits your facial features im sure its gonna fit you well. so many brands which has titanium, they are just branding which costs you more. tag can just focus on their main line of products hahaha.

Ok I understand now.
Some people mention they see purplish near the lens sides, I guess is because the lens sides have more gap further from face, so it reflects light and purplish reflection appear at the sides.

When you guys look for frames in a shop, do you test put on some frames or only see through display window? Sometimes a bit stress the sales assistant keep following and suggesting.

What do you say when you walk out without buying?

Just say thank you :)

I think it is OK to try them but just make sure you smile and be polite. It will also be good to make known your intent first.

How you make known your intent first, what do you say?

I guess most people is see something they like then they buy.

If I have intent to get something I will say: I am looking for replacement and will like to have a look at that xxx model, can I try it?

If I am just browsing, I will say: I am casually looking and noticed that xxx which caught my attention, do you mind if I have a closer look and try it?

Went to 2 shops today, did not buy anything but tried a couple at both shops. The second shop which showed me the Porsche Design even suggested I come next week as there are new designs coming in.

On both occasions, I left with a bit more knowledge and I think the both sales/optician were smiling and glad to be of some service.
