Bro most lens got uv now. Now technology zai liao haha. Crizal is front and back. Other lenses all is front uv blocking. Is ok one. I think u just decide on which brand of blue control. Uv dun need to worry too much.

For-kel bro, knowledge only la. I wear spec my whole life hahahah.

Hi,

The last pair of specs I made is more than 7-8 years back. I am currently in the market for a new pair.

I read through the last few pages and you guys are talking about crizal. How about Hoya?

And how much does a tag heuer frame cost usually nowasday?

Thanks.

Ok. I checked the receipt for my frame. Lol. It has been 10 years. But I did change the lens 3-4 years back as the coating came off.

I have always been using Hoya and never try crizal before thus I dont think I am able to make any comparisons.

Is Tag Heuer frame still good?

so far my experience is dun get those rubber temple one. will wear off easily. just a material disadvantage. stilla good frame. recommend you find titanium frames. good quality ones will last you for several years.

I am considering Crizal Prevencia lens. Hope to hear some experience.

When you wear your spects, do you (wearer) see your lens become purple, if there is light source at top/behind/side of the wearer?

Any other cons of Prevencia ?

Other people will tend to see your lens become blue frequently? Non Prevencia lens look more transparent seems nicer.

Got people said that if there is light source top/behind/side of the wearer, the wearer will see purple because the inside lens side (near eye) also reflect blue rays so wearer see lens become purple, and annoying.

Thanks

Crizal UV and Crizal Easy got any big difference? How much more expensive is crizal UV?

Is the cheapest crizal enough for UV protection?

Crizal got only 3 types correct? Easy, UV, prevencia

user will cfm see abit yellowish one. then for 3rd person they look at u cfm slight blue/purple reflections at certain angles. cant be avoided. if you like transparent and good perception of colours then not recommended for u

1. Will 3rd person see the prevencia lens a bit yellowish? If yes, yellowish color is look like those normal lens after a few years turn yellowish?

2. In a office (with normal ceiling white lights) will 3rd person see the prevencia lens slight blue/purple reflections at certain angles?

Somehow I think prevencia makes the glasses looks like non coated since 3rd person will always see blue reflections. Those cheap non multicoated lens also have similar relfections except they are non colored. Not sure if anyone have the same thoughts.

every multicoat lens give off reflection at certain reflection. prevencia does give off slightly more obvious purple reflection.
thats the purpose of the whole technology of the lens.
it is not advised for all users as some are more particular about their colour perception. might not be suitable for you as well.
u can try the sample and find out that its not like non multicoat lens as they do not reflect light into your eyes like non multicoat lens.
its only seen on the outer appearance. what u see is just like multicoat lens, comfortable without much reflection in ur eyes.
cheap non multicoat makes wearer feel uncomfortable as they reflect light into the eyes.

I buy 2 pairs both at kwon shin bras basah. Limited selection though but i like the service there as they r not pushy unlike many other stores

Iirc one is at 600+, another 700+. Price inclusive of crizal lens. Doubt i b changing specs in the next 3-5 yrs as these 2 pair are the best i ever gotten.

Before i took the plunge i tried swiss flex. But didnt work out for me as they keep sliding down :(
