Am in the market to get a new pair of specs, currently wearing a 1.67 Photofusion.

Not going to do transitions this time round, but am looking for freeform customized lenses. Read about the Hoya Nulux HVLL versus the ZEISS i.Scription + DuraVision Platinium lenses. Also on the "blue wave lenses", would these give a yellowish tint on the lenses?


Any suggestions on which is better, and on pricing? Probably around 500 degrees with 150-200 astig.


Lastly, any recommendations on places on opticians?

Only set back is when i told the Chio Bo sales gal the price of progressive lens, she does not even understand what is progressive Len! That really puts me off!

Observer has very trendy design which will be suitable for your taste, I dun think they have shop in the west but head down to Bugis junction. Worth a visit.

500 plus for ur 1.74 crizal rx lenses. They can fit ur 300 plus astig haha.
U can always try zeiss lenses with their aspherical designs. Or even u opt for those customised lenses which is good for your high astigmatism. Highly recommend. Quite costly though

Is owndays lens good? My current cheap lens from neighborhood shop getting scratches.
Would like to change a new spect. Owndays now like concur all bin shopping mall. Frame looks nice but not sure the quality of lens. Any owner can share experience?

Yes, especially their progressive lens is cheap until unbelievable !

whats the cheapest option for a 1.67 lens.
800 degrees for both ard 200 astig. Anti blue light would be a bonus since i work at the computer almost 24/7. Have been changing glasses every other year and the price is taking its toll on me...settling for something cheap now.

what about other japanese brand like seiko, Nikon or tokai lens?

i went this shop and was told that for my degree it will cost $219.80 for 1.74 lenses brand Essilor.

Hi guys, based on past few years, are they generally any promo for spec lens during NDP period? Intending to get oakley in July/Aug. I know oakley is controlled price but dunno if I can get better price for lens if I buy during sg50 weekend.
