Where to get Giacoma Puccini replacement rubber temple tips?

Does anyone know where I can get replacement rubber temple tips for my Giacoma Puccini eyeglasses frame? Both temple tips' ends broke off and my regular optician says to change eyeglasses which I do not wish to. Thanks for any pertinent information.

whats the cheapest option for a 1.67 lens.
800 degrees for both ard 200 astig. Anti blue light would be a bonus since i work at the computer almost 24/7. Have been changing glasses every other year and the price is taking its toll on me...settling for something cheap now.

Have u considered Lasik? I used to spend quite a bit on frames and lenses but changing every other year is fierce.

haha LASIK is a good solution actually.
Only thing to consider is only the bounce back of degree in a few years time, or even the need of wearing reading glasses.

Hi all,

I would like to express my disappointment on Carl Zeiss lenses i bought during June 2014. I went to Paris Miki for checking my eyes sight and want to change my eyewear. The sales person recommended me Carl Zeiss lenses compare to some of the Japan brand lenses. As i have strong confidence in Carl Zeiss lenses for the quality and durability, i decided to spend a bit more to try out Zeiss Digital with transition with 1.67PF which costed me close to SGD700 just for the lenses not inclding frame.
I had check and consulted with the sales person in Paris Miki that i should use mild dish soap to wash the lenses and i clean it with Zeiss micro fibre cloth after i wash it with water with mild dish soap.

About 6 months later i found some fine scratehes on both of the lenses and brought to Paris Miki for enquiry. The sales person help me to wash the lenses but the scratches are still remain. Recently around June 2015 i brought my eyewear back to Paris Miki and ask if there is any warranty for those fine scratches and the sales person willing to assist to check with the agent see if my lenses are under warranty for the scratches. After a week Paris Miki informed me that the agent informed that those fine scratches are due to long exposure to high temperatrure/heat and my lenses will not under warranty for that. First of all i take care of my eyewear everyday as mentioned earlier and store in the casing when I'm not wearing it, and second i have never expose my eyewear to any high temperature for long exposure as my working enrionment is in office facing a computer.

For the not so cheap lenses which i initially strongly believe in for the quality and durability, ended up with the fact that Carl Zeiss lenses are low quality, easily scrathed within 6 months with no reason, in which it can't even compare to Japan brand lenses. I feel disappointed and cheated for spending such a costly lenses and in actual fact it's worst than cheaper and better quality Japan brand lenses. i won't recommend any of my friends to use Carl Zeiss lenses if the service and quality are remain low quality.

Zeiss has lab reports and tests which proves its quality over others. Its not just say and expect people to believe. Not so easy. If you really take a cheap Japan lens and compare you will be surprised. Please do not claim something which its not true. It is very misleading.

Just to clarify any doubts, NO LENS HAS WARRANTY OVER SCRATCHES. Scratches can only be there due to any form of friction when you might not have noticed. you may have not used much. It could have came without you noticing, only until one day u see it.

I really dislike it when someone blames the lenses quality due to negligence. Just that you use it only in office, very seldom usage DOES NOT mean that it is in perfect condition or under perfect maintainence.

I personally use Singapore lenses and i am doing fine without scratches after months and even years. I am very careful with my specatacles till the point the only contact with my lenses are my cloths.
It all boils down to own negligence even for fine scratches.

Normally certain shops does replacements but its GOODWILL. Please understand.

TO REEMPHASIZE, NO WARRANTY FOR SCRATCHES. If you find any lens which is scratch proof please inform me immediately. I will buy them at any cost.

I hope this clarifies this issue on scratches for all the readers here.

Only Crizal lens the UV protection is both sides of the lens (near the eye side and outer side) correct?

Those lens (not branded, no brand mentioned) that come with the spectacle shop package price is UV coated only on the outer side of the lens?
If the inner side (nearer eye) of the lens is not coated with UV protection, when UV rays shine via the gap between the eye and lens (nearer eye side), does it mean that the UV rays that hit the lens (nearer eye side) are reflected into my eye?

Thanks

Hi, I got a new pair of specs that are rimless and with polished edges. However, I find that there is too much glare and reflection caused by the polished edges.

Previously a had a pair of half rim glasses that were not polished at the bottom and I did not have this problem.

Should I go back and unpolish the edges? Or will I get use to it in time?

I am thinking of something, if lets say UV light is reflected off the coating, isn't it better to only UV coat just the outer side of the lens (outer lens side futher away from eyes)?

If the side of the lens (nearer eye) is also UV coated, when UV rays shine via the gap between the eye and lens (nearer eye side), UV rays gets reflected into the eye.
If the side of the lens (nearer eye) is not coated, when UV rays shine via the gap between the eye and lens (nearer eye side), UV rays pass through the lens and goes out through the lens other side (outer lens side futher away from eyes)?

Is my understanding logic correct? Seems like if only UV coating is on the outer side one side (nearer eye lens side not UV coated) better since the UV ray will not be reflected into the eye?
