Hi, one of my female friend would like to know a bit about AO Easy HD Progressive lenses and hope that you can share your knowledge. Which is the latest Progressive lenses for AO brand? If the wearer degree is both eye 800+ and 200 (hyperopia), how much it will cost?

Hi bro, i will actually get more information on this before letting you know more. I dont really sell much of this lens tbh so i dont think i am able to comment on it until i do more research.

But based on my colleagues feedback, Synchrony Easy HD prog lens is pretty comfortable to get into for first timer or (depending on what your friend is using before). The reading area is pretty acceptable, and with blue filter lenses i think i heard of it or seen it from their new price list but i still got to confirm..(ytd was busy and i anticipate today to be busy too). Will surely get back to you when i know more Pai seh! And she 8D hyperopic?!?!? Do you have the exact prescription? the 200 is astigmatism?

That's a fine price for a premium single vision lens. A good buy for sure..

Any comment on ZEISS DuraVision® Platinum lens?

Regarding your degree, a 1.60 index lens is needed minimal for it. Thus for most Brand’s out there(the better ones), 1.60 index lenses cost around 180(before less) thus if you -it off from 290. The frame 110 also pretty acceptable the price. I don't feel kenna chop!

AO lenses fits the bill then, you can also ask her to consider stellify comfy lenses. But the index needed should be 1.67 though since the degree is quite high..hypermetropia of 200 is definately within the limit of the lenses.

2 things I can think of at hand, wrong fitting or else your reading power has increased. Wrong fitting might means, frame could be slanted, nose pads not sitting well.
If you Push your frame further from your face, you induce more ADD power thus reading might become clearer so maybe your reading power increases it but that does not factor if you close one eye it becomes clearer.
I recommend you go back to your shop to rectify the issue still as if we speculate here also won't be able to help. Your optician/optometrists will know best when they see you in person.

Hi All,

I am wearing spec with progressive lens. Recently i had problem focusing on words in laptop with it.

If cover one eye there is no issue. And i also notice that if i pull the spec further away from eyes , the fonts are well focus too.

Should i go find eye doc or make another new progressive spec? The spec was ok few months ago.Hope to have recommendation, thanks.

AO has no blue light protection? What is stellify comfy lenses? Referring to Hoya lenses? Is their price same same as AO? Try to google about it but can not get anything. I try to google for information about new Zeiss Progressive lenses but could not get the details of the new Lenses. I heard there is a new lenses called light. Surprisingly nothing is online. Hope that you can help.

Stellify comfy is another brand of progressives from Hoya. A slightly lower grade as the coating used is the old HVP(still fine) compared to to HVLL one now. Price wise is pretty similar!
Zeiss light is more comparable to essilor liberty series.( pretty basic lens with a small reading zone). I would recommend AO easy or stellify comfy at least imho.

I read through it a few times. Can you copy the phrase which shows no uv protection? It is not possible for zeiss lenses with duravision not to have uv protection. Normal basic lenses already have uv protect just that if talking about indexes, 1.56 index the uv protection might be slightly lesser. Any higher index will have the standard uv protection. I suspect you might have misunderstood the points..if the lens do not have uv protection you can complain to them posting false information.
Duravision is just a coating above the lens. The lens itself have the uv protection.

Yeap definately. It's not a must to have the blue coating as my colleague himself don't like having it. He doesn't like the Colour saturation, it does not harm her eye not to have it. Just like other users in this forum that feels that it's just placebo but to me, I like that warm effect it gives me(yellowish).
