Got my progressive using essilor. Wow. I’m surprise I took to it immediately. My previous two experience with progressive lenses was nowhere near. I’ll pay more to go for TOP range from now on. Save the money for those cheap progressive. Thanks all for the advise.

I’m thinking of adding in the transition for future glasses. Anything to consider?

Which essilor lens you using? Comfort, physio or X design? But it's great that you can feel the difference between the two Brand’s!

Only got transition and prevencia to add on option. So it's whether you want to have the blue filter.

X design. I choose the top range. Any idea how much additional if i were to add on the transition? I did not ask because I was more concern whether I can get used to it at that point in time. Am really happy that I made the switch. Driving the car is so much better now. In the past I can see far but cannot see near.

Wa you straight get the best one already. Steady! It's really one of the best newest lens out there. Transition iirc is add on 230 before less.

So yes , there is a difference between a premium lens compared to a 100-200 dollars lens. The quality differs and it's more comfortable. It should last you longer and reduce too much unnecessary head movement with lesser distortion.

Any list of branded specs (eg. Tom Ford, Gucci, Prada etc) shop for recommendation that I can refer from?

Jamco at Katong shopping center has pretty much most of these Brands you might be looking for. Their prices are reasonable too. Probably you can drop by and see!

Just collected my Owndays progressive today , arrives one week earlier than expected , a pleasant surprise ....

First try is good , wide coverage area of progressive , now back to work , more review later

This one is the premium progressive?

I compare the recent escillor I made at Nanyang , surprisingly the owndays lens has better viewing area for the progressive part.

Have been wearing since this afternoon, quite satisfy with the quality, will consider another pair again

Wow really? Hmmm... I am quite happy with my essillor. Maybe I should get another pair at Owndays to try it out. Many of my colleagues are using Owndays and they have been telling me how good it is as well.
