I see, so there are 2 choices. I'm not too keen on getting lenses made for computer-work because their yellow tint really throws me off, although I'm not sure if newer lenses will still have this tint on them. Maybe I'd consider double aspheric but I'm mostly concerned with peripheral vision, my old pair had really bad blur on the sides of the lens compared to even the cheaper ones I'm wearing now

I suggest you either use a double aspheric lens that will reduce the distortion significantly but only for distance or, anti fatigue lenses which will help in relaxing eye muscle when looking at near for Long hours BUT it’s not double aspheric.

Such lenses usually only Japanese lens Brands will have. Hoya Nulux EP series can go up to 1800 combined power/compound of astigmatism and myopia. Your compound power is 1400, 800 myopia 600 astig. Take note.

But if you are looking for a lens that can help you to read more comfortably and using pc, maybe do a 1.74 crizal eyezen blue capture which will cost you 560(before less)

Zeiss also can, their digital lenses retails for
1.67 510.
1.74 660.

If price and thickness is a concern, go eyezen 1.74 crizal blue cap. If not, zeiss digital 1.74 and remember to cap the reading addition to +0.50 or max +0.75. We try not to go too high for that as you are not presbyopia yet.

For Zeiss, To upgrade to 3(precision Superb) you need to pay for (2)Precision plus/Asiana.
1.5 index cost 750
1.6 index cost 950(before less).

Hoya to have something similar it should be Mystyle Profile.

Some might wonder why i did not mention Lifestyle V+ and jump to Mystyle Profile, That is because Lifestyle V+ is not on par with Precision superb . So the next jump is to Mystyle Profile which is better than Precision Superb.
Again this is just based on my fitting experience, others might have differing opinion.

But just incase if you dont mind the drop in clarity and reading zone Field on view,

Hi, I would like to get advice on getting new lens.
I went to a store to try a sample of the new Crizal Blue Capture UV out to see for myself and it didn't really seem to change how my phone's screen looks.
With the old digital lens I could see a visible reduction of blue light but it had the side effect of making white look yellowish.

Any advice on the prescription I should get? I'm around -5 on my worst eye and the optician recommended me to get Transitions Signature + blue capture at 1.74 for 680.

I believe depending on your prescription, somewhere around 200 onwards can find already, just that it is realllly basic and might not be that comfortable.

Honestly, the blue light filter lenses with the yellowish hue is the best way to reduce eye strain.

Other lenses that does similar blue light absorbing and all also does their job BUT it doesnt reduce the eye strain as much as the yellowish hue lenses.

However i understand many individuals not fancying the yellowish hue thus you can always settle for the latter.

Alright, firstly this is a ''almost'' islandwide zeiss promo. Almost because maybe some shops ''dont'' promote this promotion.

If shops don't want to mention about the other promos, its understandable as sales and all are involve.

Office lenses are lenses that as the name suggests, to be used only in the office/desk settings. It has close to no Distance vision vision(not entirely).
The lens is designed in a way such that if you look straight, your intermediate distance(e.g. computer/desktop) distance will be clear, and if you roll your eyes down, then your reading will be clear. But if you are looking to see distance e.g. driving Then the progressive lenses will be better for you as progressive will allow you to see distance,intermediate and near. Just that for progressive lenses, intermediate zone vision will not be as WIDE as an Office lens.
