Might be fitting issue or maybe power. Did you went back to check again?

Already fedback, and the optician were saying he will get the lens consultant to come down and help with my case. But honestly, I thought distant vision should be the last thing that can go wrong, that’s why I am asking if anyone has met with such cases. One more thing, have anyone also heard/come across cases of “frame too big for progressive lens”?

Yes, a lot of individuals thinks that the bigger the frame the wider the field of view, but that is not true. Progressives comes with a fixed amount of clear view, thus anything out of the zone, it’s usually distorted. Bigger frame means when it comes to reading, the reading zone is all the way at the bottom too, meaning you need to chin up more to read resulting in neck pain.

Not sure if this is what you mean or if the frame is those gigantic ones that even the 80mm size lenses cnt even fit. That usually before you even make the glasses should warn you beforehand.

My frame is measured by 55.2 (width) by 38.6 (height), so I don’t think it’s oversized bah. I dun usually need to tilt my head much for reading as it’s a habit of mine that I tend not to read by moving it near my face. Rather frustrated not being able to see things from far to the extend that I might even go back to my old pair of glasses. Sigh.

Thanks for answering my questions, buddy. I just hope to arm myself with enough information so that I would not get ‘snooked’ the consultant.

Don’t worry. Just wait and see what happens during that day. Then discuss later :)

btw, mine is unilateral ptosis or rather one side is worse than the other

I went to look at my younger days photos, it seems minor

It seems to get worse when I started wearing contact 10 years ago

Now I look to get it done this Dec, do u have any Dr to recommend?

Oh yes, you can look for Dr Zena Lim, focal eye center. Do you have insurance to claim for private clinic?

Yeah, wearing contact lenses sometimes weaken The Eyelid muscles due to constant pulling when inserting the lenses.

why u recommend her over other Drs? based on your personal experience?

I'm checking on the insurance part ... saw that medisave can be utilised too...

Read that to claim both insurance or Medisaave will require ophthalmologic assessment ... probably will up the insurance before going for assessment

any idea will your degree change after the surgery?

Oh, i have many positive feedbacks from this doctor.

Also i know the staff there so i feel they are reasonably professional.

Yes, possible that prescription might change after the surgery, usually give it about 2-3months to settle.
