I had presbyopia when I was 38 😞
Had to remove my specs when reading or even cutting my finger nails cus can't see clearly with specs. And most people says usually you only get it after 40..

Degree wise about 350 (L) and 375 (R), astig should be less than 100 (same for both L and R).

Not looking to penny pinch, but rather looking for a recommendation so that the optician will not push a certain brand /type over what is best for the customer.

Actually I'm not even sure if its eye fatigue or lao hua... The near focus issues doesn't happen all the time. Usually late in the day after several hours working on the laptop. Yes i do take regular breaks, looking at far away buildings few km away for a while. Perhaps just digital/hd lens might even suffice.

Currently wearing zoff's spectacles with their regular house lens for the past 2 years. Lens still looks ok without visible scratches

Very likely its due to presbyopia, you might find it more comfortable if you remove your glasses to read.

What i recommend would probably be a digital lens. Thus you can look towards Hoya sync 3 +0.9, essilor Eyezen boost +1.00 or Zeiss Digital lens +1.00. Should be more than enough for you.
If you stare at a computer for more than 6-7hrs in office, then maybe doing up a basic office lenses will do the job. Zeiss office lenses is really good in this aspect or.. there's another way but i feel these few options are good enough.
Price based on your prescription, with a decent frame probably below 500.

Hi there, thank you very much for your recommendations on my vision issue. Is there a recommended shop that I can visit near Queensway / Vivo / Along NE line/ Punggol area.

Or perhaps your store (if you are a store(s) owner)
You deserve the business for all the assistance

@GANGSTERKIA, when making new glasses with Hoya Sync III/III Pro lenses, are the optician supposed to ask if I want Sync III-5, Sync III-9, or Sync III-13?

Oh, Usually the optician/optometrist/practitioner will decide for you, based on your age and reading habits. Or else some will pass you an Ipad to let you do a survey and from there it will decide for you which is suitable. Usually i make the decision for my patients.

Dont worry about the no asking part. :)

I need your help. I made my glasses at PS’s outlet. Adjusted 4 times my rgt side of ear is either painful or loose & will slip down. 5th time went Singapost’s outlet. As my rgt nose’s piece area is getting red and peel. But the boss ain’t that helpful and patient. Think was busy with too many customers at 1 time. I even fixed appt beforehand. I suspected cos my rgt side of lens is thicker than my left side cos the degree is much varied. The boss said not possible. But I have been cut before in the past. Left eye’s degree reduced further. I should lower the index so that left len about same thickness as rgt len, but forgot. May I know what is your advice? Thanks.

Oh because i believe certain model of safety glasses can only be prescribed if there is a letter from the company stating the use of it.

I will check back for you tomorrow when i'm back at work.
Any updates?

Hi GANGSTERKIA and other experienced bros here.

I want to ask if you all have any feedback on Tokai 1.76 Lutina lenses? Paris Miki having promo on this now and its only $270 (50% off) for the super high index ones. Is it worth it? Btw Paris Miki call it their in house brand but says it is Tokai so is there any difference?

Should I consider other brands like Hoya and Zeiss or for the value now the Paris Miki deal is quite worth considering?

My degree is 650 btw with astig about 150.

Well for 1.76 index compared to 1.74 lenses outside. I think it’s a good steal for its price. They are not a bad brand honestly.
You can Go for it👍🏻
