How high index can this iens type go? 1.74 or 1.8?
Hi, you can drop it at eyewear optics Thomson. They have a specs donation box, or framewerks optical at TampinesDoes anyone know if any places accept donations for frames that can be passed on to the needy?
i have about 3-4 frames that are in good condition, just that prescription is either outdated or I no longer use.
Hi,if i'm just looking to fit some new lenses, is it more or less the same going to any shop? any recommended ones around central / city area?
Asked in the progressive lens thread in edmw but I think here more suitable since that thread is probably pushed down quickly.Hi,
City area/town can consider Afew.
1)first eyewear Far East plaza
2)kj optometrist plaza sing
3)pacific optical @the Adelphi
Hi! Do you mind sharing your prescription(if you have a rough idea) and your age(pm if you need to).Asked in the progressive lens thread in edmw but I think here more suitable since that thread is probably pushed down quickly.
Can you recommend a progressive lens for $800 budget? Excluding frame. Will you also advice to get a separate pair office glasses for computer and reading purposes? Or see first if the progressive lenses is sufficient and can get used to it?
wow seh... swallowing saliva ..hahaHi,
1.74 is the max index.
It would cost 1980 from RRP.
You can consider their lifestyle 3 range/mystyle profile. It would cost lesser but 1.74… still will be 1000ish.wow seh... swallowing saliva ..haha
TQ anyway

Hi, you could consider using hoya nulux EP, it is a double aspheric lens thus the lenses will be thinner and hoya coating is very durable.Any recommended for lenses for degree > 800 for both eyes?
Currently using crizal lens but the coating has worn off. Bought in 2019 for around $500+
Oh no, that’s unfortunate. But as it’s ultrasonic, if the coating of the lenses are old etc, they will come off very easily..I am currently wearing my tokai lense.
I realise after I put into a digital supersonic cleaner with water the lenses coating wore off quite a lot.
om.. I think i just damaged my own glasses,
Is there any spectacles lens that have coating not likely to wear off?
