i am quited hoya nuflux 1.67 full control for 450
and shamir block zeor for 200, is it a good deal>?
I will check for you later. Hoya has an island wide promo now, nulux Trueform(2nd tier) free upgrade to nulux v+(highest tier). Full control itself is also a good coating.

You can consider their lifestyle 3 range/mystyle profile. It would cost lesser but 1.74… still will be 1000ish.

Hello Gangsterkia,

Would appreciate if you could give some advice on the below queries:

1. My prescription is:

R: - 3.00
L: - 3.25 - 0.50 X 135

2. My sis has rather high degree of 1050 for both eyes

We are in mid 30s and our job requires us to be using the computer for the whole day. We am thinking of single vision with blue Ray reduction lenses. Which brand of lense would you recommend and to avoid being "chopped" , what are the estimated prices that we should be expecting?

By the way, do you advice getting antifogging lenses?

Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon!
I would strongly suggest using antifatigue/digital lenses.
Examples of lenses would include hoya sync 3, Zeiss digital lens and Essilor eyezen.
Just for this period, hoya actually has an islandwide promotion which would allow sync 3 to have a free upgrade to sync 3 pro.(the pro allows you to have a wider field of field in your vision and more clarity/comfort on the lenses. These lenses are good for individuals who are using digital devices for long hours and for early presbyopes(laohua), based on the age group you mentioned, likely you either have a small amount of

For your prescription I would recommend 1.60 or if you prefer a lesser alternative then it would be the 1.50 index. 1.60 retails at 390 and 1.50 lens retails at 290. Both would get the free upgrade to the pro version.

for your sister, I would recommend 1.74 index which will retail at 640(of course she will get the free upgrade too).

finally adding the blue light filter if you are going for Hoya it will be called full control(extra 70 dollars)

Thus the damage would be
Yourself-470 1.60 sync 3 pro w/full control
Your sister-710 1.74 sync 3 pro w/full control (assuming you are choosing hoya with their promo).
If you need recommendation for retail practices you can let me know too!

Hi!
Mystyle series has a feature called smart analysis whereby they take into account your lifestyle habits, amount of time you spent and etc and incorporate it into your lenses to form a unique lens design specialised to your lifestyle/needs.
whereas lifestyle 3 lacks that feature. But tbh, both lenses actually really good..

Hi Gangsterkia,

Thank you for the great information. Appreciate it.

Would you be able to advice the retail prices for Zeiss digital lens and Essilor eyezen so I can make an initial price comparison?

I was told that Zeiss is of a better quality than hoya which is then better than Essilor, not sure of your view on this.

Lastly, yes, would you be able to recommend some retail practices?

Thanks 😊

eyezen 1.56 - $280
zeiss digital 1.56 - $290.
note that eyezen comes with inbuilt flue filter. you have to add a coating top up for zeiss. $80.

Adding on to user gardens mentioned, if you are a plus powered individual(hyperopic),it is worst. the higher the prescription the more giddiness/distortion you might encounter. Thus that is where your practitioner will recommend you to get better lenses.

You can consider going to First eyewear East Coast.
They are a group of highly trained, knowledgeable practitioners that have been around for years.
Other practices would include
Eyewear optics@thomson plaza
Jamco optical@katong shopping ctr

If needed I can pm you the Practitioners to look for!

Hi, may I know which Zeiss office lens were you quoted? I was quoted $500-$00+ yesterday, maybe I look like a carrot head. I wonder if there are other brands selling "office lens" for near distance work, at equivalent performance and at cheaper price?

BTW, I also noticed Owndays selling computer lens at $100 top-up and Zoff has mid-near lens too but cannot remember the top-up price. Any reviews?

I believe I just got conned for zeiss 1.5 and and unknown plastic frame.
Later in the evening I checked out another optical store and it offered zeiss 1.6 something for 290 with the same frame.
Shitz..

Then there's Lenskart around the corner... I got too hasty.
The secret is to browse around which I normally do.... I guess the headaches really starting to bother me.

Hi,
Zeiss 1.6 office lens for 290? Or Zeiss light lens? They have entry level progressives that is around that range.
Zeiss light price compared to office lens is different at 1.6 index too.
Do you have details?

Hi,
There is a difference in quality depending on the price you pay for the lenses for.
Unless you have high tolerance such that even the basic lenses you can work with them well. If not then the quality difference is noticeable.

So far no shop ever told me about Kodak lens. How is it compare to your normal progressive lens, I presume you should another pair of progressive for normal use?
