@GANGSTERKIA Hey bro, any recommendation for Lindberg shops? I have a wide face and need to look at the wider series type. Just getting the frame and then go JB to fit Mystyle V+ 1.6 lenses with transition and blue ray ($1040).

Was quoted around $633 for this Lindberg frame from another shop in JB:


What do you think? I read customisation may be required so not sure if advisable to get from JB for Lindberg.

Mystyle V+ definitely needs customisation. If they tell you no, then you are not getting your value worth out of the product.

Oh then no, customisation won’t cost more than 40-50..
It is a very good price. It would cost more for sure.. you got yourself a good deal!
Edit: Your practice really lower the lens price by a huge amount…good for you consumers haha

Servicing wise… i just feel better to do it in spore.. but if you every week go msia, then travelling is not an issue. Can one shot all do in msia.

May I suggest you using anti fatigue lenses still?
Based on your prescription,’you should be using 1.74 index lenses.
Lenses such as (no particular order)
1)Hoya sync 3
2)Zeiss digital lens
3)Essilor crizal Eyezen

they have a “boost”/relaxation power at the bottom to help relax your eyes muscle when looking at near/computer screen(whether or not you are “lao hua”)

We should be looking at basic 1.60 index lenses..
I would suggest probably
1)eyewear optics thomson
2)jamco optical
3)first eyewear far east
4)first eyewear East coast

if they are single vision, these places will do a full eye check for you too.

Bro, not sure if anyone asked before, are you an optician or distrbutor? You know a lot about glasses leh, and knowledge about multiple stores too. Just curious.

Want to ask your opinion, I have been wearing Staffan Preutz for a long time (3 frames already). Now looking at Lindberg NOW but a lot of negative reviews. What do you think of the material comparison? Is Lindberg NOW as flexible as Staffan Preutz? I read Lindberg a lot of complaints about small spider cracks. I never notice hairline crack in my Staffan frames and I know SP frame is very flexible. Only bad thing is their nose pad very easy to break.

I am an Optometrists and used to be in a retail practice. The reason why I know of many other practices is because I have close friends working there. Thus I know of their work ethics and skill set then I recommend if needed to our other forumners.

SP is made of a really flexible kind of “NXT” material. Compared to NOW, I would say that SP will beat NOW in terms of durability and the issue you mention which is the stress marks(spider web). Usually it appears when the lenses are edged too tight onto the Lindberg frame and it appears over time. Yes their nosepad is a tad bit too fragile.. SP also not easily found in spore retail practices as the demand is not as popular as the past due to emerging brands. Overall, I would still say Lindberg would be my preferred option as they are light(as SP), durable imo(as SP, or more for their nosepad), aesthetically pleasing(SP frame tends to be quite big and some design the temple abit too Loud like some futuristic).. but ultimately is my own opinion la haha. SP is better in another key aspect which is for individuals with really broad face like 58/60/62 lens size.

My eyes get very tired when looking at screen. Sometime will even trigger a throbbing headache( migraine) and eye wil start to feel uncomfortable, all the way until it can cause me sleepless night and headache the following day.
Any brother sister here can recommend an optical shop to provide braun buffel frame and zeiss lens (or any other alternative) will be fine. Price point can be higher but 1) the lens coating must last for several years to come 2) the frame does't discolorise.
I must feel a big difference from my tokai lutina asahi lens that I am already wearing now.
I was pointed back to tokai lutina asahi because it still filter out the amount of blue light (blue light is sort of a gimmick? some scentific evidence proof that the sunlight has 1000x more blue light than usual)
LHS 350 RHS 650, Astigmatism below 200.
I saw one shop quoting 50 off the normal price of zeiss lens and another shop quoting 50 off the normal price of braun buffel (might be distributor stock)

About NXT that's what I thought too and I have searched for other frames with that material but not many appealing brands like Monoqool and Synergy. Agree with SP temple, I still prefer the earliest minimalistic temple models but the frame shape not many variety. I guess I will check out Lindberg then.

Hi Gangsterkia, out of curiosity, I would like to find up more. Recently, my friend “transited” from myopia to progressive lens. His power for both eyes is around 575 plus some degrees of presbyopia and astig. However, less then 1-2 days of adapting to the progressive lens, he ditched it and went back to his single vision lens. He claimed that “pressure” formed on his head after putting on the progressive lens. Is there any remedy to it? Personally, I feel it would be a waste of 4 digits if the lens become white elephant? Thank you so much.
