1.60 index lenses (available in Clear*/ Transition or Photofusion* / Blue Absorb*/ Blue Absorb + Photochromic)

Zeiss has lenses for those in *

Blue reflect not really necessary unless you are sensitive to bright light.

I picked up a pair of Shoji today from Jamco. It just felt comfortable wearing it, looks nice and the pricing range was really good ($300 with discount). Felt more happy buying it than spending more than double the amount on Oliver Peoples. I was told it is a Singaporean brand too. Does anyone have any experiences with Shoji? Feel exciting picking a local brand with good quality and decent price.

Maybe try Lenskart? From India should be cheaper

Owndays prices might become lower soon since Lenskart bought a majority stake in them.

Went to my usual shop and asked more about the pentax versus hoya.
Seems like Hoya's coatin is slightly better, less yellowish, less fog, antibacterial coat.
Real life use, not much significant.

Told me if 200 to 300 degrees, no need 1.65.
1.55 which i'm currently using is enough.
Pentax around $108, Hoya $170, both 1.55 and don't know what type of blue light.

I'm looking for a acetate/plastic frame in black, but have a huge head so usually very limited choices.
Moreover, in Ang Mo countries, those fixed nose-pads on plastic frames tend to be tailored to those with high nose bridge, so can't find one which fits. Need big (XL-wide) frame with either adjustable nosepads or suitable for Asian faces.

Any good shop with big selection of frames in the west/central side to recommend?

Also saw a few pages back some shops can put in aftermarket nosepads on acetate frames. How long is the turn around on that? I've got about 10 days left.

That's why when my clients upgrade to better optics lens like Zeiss & Tokai, I'ld always warn them it would be hard to downgrade in future. The level of clarity is different

According to the surgeon who operate on my eyes, I cannot go for multifocal lens and recommend to use fixed focal lens. As such, I can see far but cannot see near. Need a progressive lens for me to see both far and near.

The procedure for my left eye has been completed, and the right eye is scheduled for Friday. While I have a preference for distance vision, I also require the ability to read from a computer for approximately 5 hours daily. Currently, my left eye can see objects at a distance but has difficulty with near vision. Therefore, I will need to use spectacles. Thank you.

After cataract surgery is done on the right eye, performance is expected to be the same as your left, distance good but near not so. (Unless you choose to induce abit of myopia on right to allow abit of near. But this option to have monovision could potentially result in headaches/migraines for some)

Thank you for the info, it is very informative. It seems like I need to go for the Occupational lens. Is that a progressive lens? Can I use it to read books?
How to choose on the coatings, the "Blue reflect lens or the Blue absorb lens"? How much will that be?
