hi guys,

i purchase a crizal prevencia in JB yesterday... how do i ensure that it is the real thing? i google and found that it should come with a certificate of authenticity and there is a fog mark when hot air is blown towards the lens?

anyway i made this lens for 700RM (about $270+) and my eyesight is around 800+ astig 225 each. Good price?

sometime the lens marking may be cut off so no more fog mark. ummm prevencia will be a slight purplish bluish reflection.

Hi, I'm planning to get a new pair of spectacles. Are those scratch proof, antifingerprint lenses worth it (do as advertised) or should I just get a normal pair of lenses?

Is those blue light lens more reflective than normal multi coated lens? Because I noticed normal multi coated lens look less reflective.. Or maybe I could be wrong... :s

The Eye Place will also have. In fact, there will be some frames available at The Eye Place that even Kwong Shin will not have.

Queensway.
but
Oliver's peoples vintage from online shop.

Sinkapore no moar stock left.

u can try Bras Basah...the optical shop next to the escalator.
they hab Oliver Peoples too..

The most atas shop is at Mandarin Gallery...level 2 or 3.
they hab nice range of Oliver Peoples...but but but...very expensive...frame alone cost u more than a thousand.
as compared to Queensway and Bras basah...$300-$450.

:) ;) :)

The price there okay? How about the optician there?

The optician is very good. The frames are all very nice, but it's not a place to go get mass brands like Prada, Gucci, Tag Heuer, Oakley, etc. I don't consider those brands to be designer brands.

The price is a bit high, to me, at least coz my lenses will cost 220 there though my prescription is very high (see my prescription below). A shop in Queensway charges me about 100 for lenses.

I once bought a theo, a yanagi gawa ichiro and a SALT there. I've never come across frames I didn't like there.

I would have liked to get my frames there but do lenses elsewhere but too paiseh coz when they used to be at Stamford road and I was still a penniless JC student, they always let me try on the frames even though they knew I couldn't buy. And when I'm there I always ask for discount and they always give me.

They are very decent people lah. Decent businessmen these days like very difficult to find.

I don't have anything bad to say about them, except that I really shouldn't be buying things from them with my given salary. :)

Yes, all my lenses have to be specially made.... Suay loh. My first pair of specs in K2 already hit 100 deg for shortsightedness.
