Hi ... Thomson Plaza has 4 or 5 optical shops, so there is a fair bit of competition and the shops are fairly big. If you are a regular customer, eye check-ups are free, lenses are inexpensive, service is within the hour if stock is available, and the shops make some profits selling you new frames ... Of course, some neighbourhood optical shops are cheaper, but the range is limited ... I think your budget is more than adequate for medium range branded frame and multi-coated high refractive index lenses ... hope this helps! ;)

Please recommend sport frame for running. I am looking in the range of 100-150 for frame alone.

if i wanna make lens for half frames, which shop do i go to and what do i look out for? i know generally half frame uses polycarbonate lens with coatings. but the problem with it is that the coating will drop over time

I have a pair - exactly the same as the pic here. It is very comfortable after some adjustment and the material is good. Feel it and you will know what I mean.

You can consider going to the Brass Basah optical shop - the one that is most crowded on a Sat :)

It is quite expensive - so most shops do not carry many pieces I think.

what is the name of the shop ?

i went there today and saw 2 shops open but one is capital optic which has nobody inside, i guess they are expensive, then other shop is quite small, also no one inside,

saw prodesign at taka, paris miki but then the sales lady was too pushy so i left despite the fact i saw a few that i like
