when i ask you to go back and complain about shoddy workmanship, do you think i asked you to accept and tolerate flaws? what i was saying is, some people are born like that, they are very particular and picky, you can't please them no matter what.

as for my pants, it's supposed to be slim fit, so 1 inch makes a huge difference and the difference will be visually obvious.

Just need to ask you an impt question; how do you define shoddy worksmanship? If lets say the area around the screws which joined the lenses have the paint scratched off, do you consider this to be acceptable>?

i think its not the optical shop in question. Its more on which brand of lenses to be trusted. But tell you honestly, all brands of coatings will drop off sooner or later cos coatings have a tendency to drop off after applying on plastic lenses, i think plastic material doesnt allow it to retain the coating as long as glass material. Some people say dont use too strong chemical to wash ur lens, and some say don expose to sunlight.

how do you find out their service is so so when you only talk to them and never try out?

why do you say their range of frames is not that many? is it because you can't find what you want that is why you say that? how then it's considered a big range for a shop that size.

uncle looked old and machine small gives you what kind of impression?

the place not crowded on sat gives you the impression that their service is not good?

i ask the staff how much unbranded 1.74 lens cost & they cant even tell me straight away. They say rarely people make 1.74 lenses at their shop & they got to call their supplier to check on the following monday only then they can confirm. That shows that they don have a vast customer base.

We cannot conclude that this shop lacks a vast customer base based on the above.

OMG! which shop you went to??? $250 for this is a total rip off i tell you. This is only VP coat, not SFT. and if they tell you they can't give you authenticity card, they are lying to you too.

its somewhere in the west. will take pic of the shop if they dun gimme wat i wanted. i saw a brochure in their shop which state SFT have 7 function instead of the usual 5.. will take pic of it also when i go there this week.

don't expose to sunlight kinda hard... how i wish we can go direct to their lab order..skip the optical shops.. been to afew..none really offer goot service..worse..they dun even have the knowledge..just keep smoke thru..wonder how many ppl they con liao..

But they will ask you to pay if yout a replacement lenses cos they will tell you tat you are ok with their recommendation.

i dun mean the kind of bad service as attitude or bochup.. its more of knowledge and wana smoke the customer.. or will just flash out the brochure and say "its stated here" rather than elaborate the details. workmanship wise... no problem for me.. never had wrong vision problem or low quality lens/specs.
