hmm..how much would IC Berlin! frame + crizal 1.74 lens (250 astigmatism) cost ah ? a normal end frame.. anyone roughly knows for the price for the supported shops here ?

Crizal 1.74 dont have CYL (astig) -2.50.. need to use RX.. means more expensive..

Normal Crizal Advance 1.74 = $400

How high is your SPH (myopia) power? why need 1.74?

Of course 1.74 is thinner than 1.67 but may cost
50% to 100% more.

eg: US$ price for

Progressive
Varilux Physio 1.67 Index $289.00
Varilux Physio 1.74 Index $439.00

Single Distance

Essilor Thin & Lite 1.67 Index $159.00
Essilor Thin & Lite 1.74 Index $317.00

big big optical shops at vivo city, great world city, wisma and optics munich at scotts square is ur best bet..

popular designs doesnt necessarily fit ur face. get the ones ur comfortable in.

myself would rather aim to get rare designs instead of common.

i will not go for oakley again, becos its really heavy (even the titanium series) and uncomfy.

nowadays i prefer to look for the lightest & most comfy frames to suit my daily life cos i wear specs at least 18hrs a day (i sleep less than 6 hrs daily) so comfort of spec is extreme importance to me rather than what kind of branded, design, special or no special no direct impact on my life.

So xiaokaka, i hav asked you to post the 999.9 and japonism frames but u have not done so. Very likely they cant be too good either.

Assuming the prices are correct, Varilux Physio 1.67 and 1.74 is way way too cheap. If u can get that kind of prices, its freaking worth it.

If u looking for 999.9, u can visit Shinagawa Optical at Wheelock place (beside ION, Orchard). They also have Japonism.

Places like Vivocity, Great world city and suntec big outlets will carry Japonisim. Some even have Spivvy.

The comfort wise, u have to try to feel the difference.. and u can also try google-ing it if u are so interested?

hey xiao boy, google models may not be selling in the actual shops. i tot u said capitol optical has 999.9 & japonism so you could take pics directly from your shop & post here. im a busy man travelling everyday, i dont have so much expendable time on my hands to go to so many shops in orchard road or suntec. And all of them are chain stores.

i think i rather go back to jb city square shop, which sells quality at cheap prices. There prices are really negotiable, unlike big chain stores can only giv up to 10% discount on lens after much haggling still the same 10%. In sg cheapest you can get discount for lens only 20% off the RRP.

In jb my regular shop, i can get up to 30% off HOYA premium lenses, meaning in sg selling at RRP SGD550, i am only paying equavalent to SGD375 for the same custom-made hoya 1.67 dbl AS sft lenses, and the shop even give me the authenticity card AND the lens packaging, so no worries about authenticity.

hmmm, fyi, jb city square is currently undergoing renovation, thus i suggest you may consider going sometime in the second half of the year.

The shop name is Eye Optic Vision. Currently it is temporarily shifted to a smaller shop on the 2nd or 3rd level i think, so the range is not that much to browse for the moment until at least july/august when they re-shift to a bigger store.

I will revisit the store again likely end of the year when i suspect more new frames will come in for the xmas/new year festive season. They have brands like masaki, pro design, urband, eyelet, EyeDC etc. I always like to visit them as the sales ple are friendly and i can good prices, esp when the sg dollar is stronger.:s12:

Ya, malaysia sell lenses cheaper.

How u suppose i take photo of the 2 brands of frames? dont dont have just 1 or 2 designs. If u really so busy and don't wanna hunt something for urself, u can't expect others to. Either way, no1 knows what u like and don't like.
