100% confirmed because mine is over 250 and I always have to pay more, longer lead time too as they have to custom from the factory.

That is an excuse by lens manufacturer to make us pay even more. Lens going to hike prices soon. Damn.

Hey all, assuming my myopia is about 900 degree, what's the thinnest that then lens of my spectacle can go? Wanna get a thin lense to cut down weight of my spec! Any experts out there to help? Thanks!

Hi all,

Wanted to get some advice with regards to my new glasses. Bought a Zeiss 1.67 Photofusion, and realised that the coatings on my glasses look very uneven (see photos). More pronounced on the left than right. Is this normal?

qvht.jpg

I did however get the proper warranty card. Indicates CI Sv 1.67 Pf Gy Lt.

EDIT: From initial Googling, it seems to be that the (hard coating) isn't index-matched with the lens' index. Only can be seen under fluorescent light. Can anyone confirm if they get this too?

How much is Hoya nulux EP with HVLL and normal nulux (both 1.67 index) here?
Is hoya have equal or better quality than normal zeiss lens (the optician always say this zeiss have HD quality:s22:)?

Any recommendation to buy tag heuer frame? Kwong Shin, Seng Li, or Koolook?
Any other frame that have flexible and adjustable nose pad like tag heuer.
I have tried other brand around like police, porsche design but I feel disappointed. Because my other spec tend to slide down on one side. Somehow one side of my upper nose is a bit flat. Hence, I need the nose pad to be a bit straight vertically rather than slanted (a bit difficult to explain).
Currently, using tag heuer and feel okay with it (since they can adjust the nose pad). But, the the rubber part become "expanding" since I sweat a lot.

Hoya Nulux EP at least 40% more expensive than just Nulux without EP. My nose also uneven. In fact alot people have uneven features may not look obvious but when wear specs u can tell and feel the difference. As long as your nose pads are adjusted to lie flat against the sides of your nose without any gaps it will be fine. Most nose pads can be adjusted except european frames harder as the nose arms are straighter and doesnt curve.

For these kinda prescriptions: -4.50 (SPH for both eyes) & -1.75 (right CYL) & -2.00 (left CYL)...what kind pricing am I looking at for Hoya Nulux EP 1.7 with HvLL coating? Any idea?

Yes my Zeiss 1.67 Photofusion coating is also like that.
At first I thought it was due to freeform lens but realized it is not. My Essilor S series with similar properties do not have the coating as such.
Not sure if Zeiss would be able to explain it but you can try calling them as others do not exhibit such problem.

hi ralliart, Dun frames are not that as exclusive as brands like Japonism or Chanel, but still quite exclusive, not too many shops are carrying them. This brand not too many know or like because to some people maybe just look too simple, unlike tagheuer/oakley are more well known and popular.

I've sent my lens back - see what they say.
