hi guys. i've been wearing contacts all my life and am intending to purchase a pair of glasses as i'm getting way too tired of putting and taking off my contact lenses daily.

i've browsed through the past 20-30 pages in this thread but still have no clue as to what i should know, the recommended shops etc etc. any advice?

as off now, all i know is i'm keen on getting the larger frames (but not overly-large) one and my budget's <200 (although i may be able to exceed depending on circumstances)

How high is your power? do u have any preference on the brand of lens? if u like larger frames, the lens would be thicker at the sides n it would cost more when u need hi-index lens eg. 1.67

my degree's only at 175. brand wise, i don't really have a preference though i seem to be more attracted to ray band glasses :)

Guys, I need to make an emergency pair so I was thinking of OWNDAYs since I can get it within the hour. But do I need to provide my eye-sight degrees and all that? Because I honestly don't know...

It is rayban 5292D
so you mean the nose bridge is slightly too wide therefore the frame doesnt sit well on your nose, keep sliding down right?
actually u got other alternatives, u can try to add on those adjustable nosepads (like those metal frames) on your plastic frame.
cost about $60-100. different shops different quote.
the optical shop in peninsula plaza #B1-12 quoted less than half the price above tho.

Hi, need some advise from experts here. I'm quite blind without glasses, 750 left, 700 right. Is it feasible for me to get frames online and then go to optical shop to settle the lens?

It will be cheaper for you but the shop may not be happy.
Some may even try to charge you more for the lens
