haha, zeiss lens must be quite good i guess. It's the basement westgate optical shop, near isetan. There's another one at the higher level, also selling ic berlin. But prices are quite high, as you would expect from this kind of places. I got quoted 820 with zeiss 1.6 lens at the basement store. Quite a few places can get mid 700 and less than 800 if you bargain. Can see this page for the list of shops that carry. But got other brands you can check out. Just try to stay away from those fashion brands if you can, like those under luxottica group, expensive for the quality. It's a shame that many optical shops in SG only sell those kind of brands now
If you want to get transition, get the zeiss photofusion. Got big difference in the clarity and coating quality. Especially for you, being photography enthusiast, you deserve quality lens
Kwong shin at bras besah basement, the art friend/swee lee building. They do have ic berlin, but very little models and it's all the old ones. They also have a few Mykita models, can try those out. Price more reasonable than those westgate shops, can bargain a bit.
Stay away from the toa payoh optical shop that sells ic berlin. You google toa payoh ic berlin you know which one liao. Bad service.

Go to the shop that u bought ur lenses at.
hi guys. i bought a tom ford acetate spec online and got it fixed with a pair of lenses. its just that when my skin becomes oily it tends to slide down.
hoping to adjust the bend on the back of the arm.
any recommendations for shop which have such a service?
thanks.
Actually, adjusting the temples is only a small part of the solution. It would be better if you could have nose pads installed. This will cost around $25-40. See pics below. That would hold the specs better than getting the shop to bend the temples which can put pressure on the sides and back of your head. Almost any large spectacle shops have the heat blower and some can offer to install adjustable nose pads on acetate frames.

Also, next time, if you are buying blind i.e. online, and choosing a European/ western brand, try to avoid acetate or any material where the nose pads cannot be adjusted or simply do not exist. This is especially important if you / are Asian because we have a flatter nose bridge and also our cheekbones protrude abit more. This will cause problems with specs going down and/ or the bottom of the lens touching your cheeks or the area below your eyes.
striker22, thanks for the tips. especially on buying online. though it is nice on me, the fitting did kind of make me disappointed when i first had it on. i did however made a comparison with my previous spectacles to make sure at least the frame looked well on me and it did. (phew)
i actually got a pair of stick-on nose pads and they are working well now. managed to get a friend to get it for me from overseas. will definitely look into have the above mentioned nose pads installed in the future if my pair of stick-ons dont work well.
now my specs is just a bit loose since the bend is a pinkie finger away from my ears. will visit the larger spectacle shops for advice and make something happen.
thanks again!
