its Oakley Bracket 8.1.can't find on the US website.only managed to find on http://oakley.jp/men/rx/bracket/ ..was recommended to me by Larrikin when I enquired about the discontinued Wiretap.

currently got one Bracket 8.1 on sale in marketplace but color not wat I had in mind & it comes w/o any box or casing.

I see, no wonder I never seen it, it does look a bit like wiretap. I have wiretap for sale but no casing also.

yep like KohChris said, you can search in marketplace forum. 500 is without warranty cos from US, but if u can get 600 with warranty, not a bad deal I think.

I have juliet with prescription black lens, I wear it for beach volley. and like Chris said, it wrap tightly and don't think you can tahan for daily use.

bangkibong,can share with me where u did ur lens for ur Juliet?....am currently on the lookout for other frames...may still get the Juliet if I really can't find any other frame i like...

i tried this on at an optician.
the wiretap is wider than the bracket by a bit. But the wiretap looks kinda old school compared to the less provocative designs oakley are pushing out now

it is at The Bencoolean, Designer Eyewear & Contact Lens ctr I think.

I made the lens for 380, this is not original oakley lens. If your prescription lower maybe can cheaper because no need thin lens. My prescription must use thinner one.

What's the difference?

Reflex are those rimless right? Track is the one with titanium.

Reflex is titanium.

Track is steel.

Reflex cannot "close", mine is reflex.

Track is the one where you can "close it", the above picture that one.

Reflex logo is embossed, where as Track is "cut" so you can see the logo revealing the interior steel.

Both Reflex and Track comes in frame, frameless and semi frame.

Reflex = 3XXX
Track = 7XXX

i think he posted the name also. Bracket I think?

If you buy at store will have 1 year warranty but will be more expensive. Almost 100 more i guess? If you think you can take care of ur spec, then buy online better

If you want to get a RX series oakley frame, best is to get it local from authorised dealers. The price maybe steeper than what you can get online but the earsock and nose pad can be exchange at Larriken "free" for life, only applicable to local sets.

I had a pair of wiretap for like close to 5 yrs, the nose pad would break and turn yellow over like 3 - 6 mths and if you pull the rubber earsock out to wash, the hole will become bigger in like 3 mths so it is better to have a local set where you can just bring now and change.

Oh yah, get the titanium version, it is much much much lighter.

Is it possible to airbrush/spray/repaint the metal parts of the frame into another color ? Obviously the paint must not fall out easily - i.e. as good as buying a black metal frame from the shop.

For example this frame can the silver metal parts be sprayed into matt black ? any idea which company can do this ?
