Nice, i dig orgreen designs, very sleek and clean. Try spectaclesforhumans? They ship worldwide.

yeah show some pics.

dogma i think is the square type right? no everyone can wear it. but if your face suitable, it will look very good. Very elegant look.

Orgreen is one of the best frames i have ever worn.

mykita IMHO does not fit very well. After a while, the spec will slip off.

Tag are the best for sports.

Getting another tag just for sports and rough use.

Orgreen - VERY GOOD design and engineering. Handmade ;)

The few brands that i would personally recommend:

1. Less than Human
2. mykita (screwless design - sweet)
3. icberlin (screwless design - sweet)
4. Orgreen
5. Cutler & Gross
6. Oliver Goldsmith (Honestly, one of the best brands I have seen in terms of design - very retro)
7. DeromeBrenner
8. Tag Heuer (very comfortable for the reflex series)
9. Yellow Cab

Nice brands but still not in the league yet

1. Theo
2. SwissFlex

Brands that I would personally stay off

1. Oakley (Worst crap ever)
2. Adidas
3. Reebok
4. Raybans
5. Police

Why no Kio Yamato?! The major problem with all the good spectacle brands in SG is that they're way too overpriced. The range they carry is also T_T

when Mykita starting to loose, you can adjust it though, the metal is very flexible. I have seen Mykita crushed by bicycle and the mykita was crushed into pieces, but the guy picked it up and assemble it again. That is why they said mykita and ic berlin is virtually indestructable.

from your choice, you seem like frames with bold design (bold temples). I prefer simple design like mykita and infinity. Less than Human, orgreen, cuttler and gross are good brand though. Alain Mikli is not bad either.

Personally i would not use tag for sports since their rubber temples may slip off easily when sweating. Well it is from my personal exp. Imagine getting a ball to your face and your glasses flying off. haha

For oakley, well their rx frames are overpriced and nothing special, but to be honest their sunglass and lens are good and strong which is good for sports.

Where can I get these brands that you're talking about and what's their price range like?

mykita boutique in Berlin

icberlin and mykita sold in many shops in SG:
shops like the one in wheelock place, the adelphi (the eye boutique), stamford road (the eye place) and the spec shop at suntec city (2nd floor, near the auntie annie shop)

Not very nice at all ;)

When I first bought my Tag in 2002, it cost only 450 (special price for me). Now half-rimless already cost 600+ -_-"

So it is the popularity which is making it expensive.

Well they're not bad, but depending on your tastes of course. The KY look is more businessman and conservative than avant garde. I don't disagree with the popularity bit, but i think the more important reason, which some people have already said, is cos they don't sell that many specs, so have to have bigger margin to make up for it.. sad fact of life.

Honestly, oakley rx is pretty good quality. I know cos it's been through it with me. It survived a direct basketball hit to the centre point, then the entire frame was severely contorted. A year later, it survived a car crash where my head was thrown in front - temples, nose pad and frame all went koyak. When i went to the optician, he was shocked that the frame didnt snap or anything.. so give some credit where it's due.
