hi guys! just to ask.... is there any spec shops that sells low priced, but nice specs?? coz my budget is below $150.. and my lens will cost about $80 bucks coz it's a 1.67 high index refractive lens...
Hey guys. Was wondering if anyone actually buys frames and then goes to an optician to get them to make lenses for you? I'm toying with the idea of buying frames online as they have more abundant designs than your standard shops in Singapore.
Saves money as well. Hoping if anybody can share their experiences?
Well my bro just got back from korea and brought back several sunglasses. There were very vintage ala persol-like and look to be able to accomodate precription lenses. Was thinking of actually putting some lenses in to be worn as regular specs for certain outfits.Hi
I think it is not a good idea to purchase frames online. 2 reasons:
1. You will not know if the frame fits you. Difficult to juge based on the pics.
2. With the shipping costs, not necessary to be cheaper as some shops do offer your a special package - i.e. frame with lens.
Some local shops do bring in a wide range of frames. Some very expensive ones from Italy, France, Japan. Shop around.
Somehow i didn notice your post. I suppose its time to start crackinglike i said in an earlier post, u may be liable to pay for higher prices on the lens if you don't get the frame from the shop.

please, stevick, i am working in the industry, some do, some don't. It depends but in general, retailers can play with the numbers better if u buy both from them.
