i don't think there is any difference though. But i might be wrong. I have sold several wiretap sunglasses and all of them wanted to change the lens to prescription lens. So far no one says anything about the shape though

RX is for prescription. I am not very sure but I remember the Optician told me long long long long time ago that the sunglass version is more curve compare to the prescription version, don't know how true.

So far i went to 2 optician to change the lens for my wiretap, all no comments about the curvature. You should have gotten a RX version, as if it is a local version, the nosepad and temple socks are on lifetime warranty. As long as they are torn, they can be changed at Larriken for free.

i have a qn on rudy project magster sunglass. I heard tat the frame curvature is too great and it is not suitable to have clipped on lens inside which may scratch the surface. i emailed rudy project and this is the answer i got.

It depends on how high your RX is. The Magster lenses can be made direct in Single Vision only up about -2.00 total power. And the insert can hold up to -6.00.

Regards,

Kenny

Can Someone dicepier the msg in layman terms for me? My eyes is 400 and 300 degree, single vision.

Rudy project offers many prescription options. For the direct RX (meaning the prescription is built directly into the sun lens, it does not recommend a power of greater than -2.00 , or myopia power of 200 or more. The curvature usually precludes patients with high RX from taking them because of distortion, this appears to be your case.

For the RX inserts, which is a piece of wired frame clipped behind the sunglasses, you will notice that the are not as curved and can take a prescription of up to -6.00. However, many have found that the inserts sit too close to the eye and the eyelashes might get in the way. Also, the curvature of the original shades will touch the inserts as well.

Unless you are using it for sports, like cycling, you may not need to curvature although they do increase coverage.

I suggest you look at the Kabrio model instead if just for regular use like driving, sightseeing etc.

Not really. They were popular in the early 2000s. Some designers I met at SILMO said it will come back again in trend in a few years time, with tinted sides or some variation.

In my opinion, they can still fit certain people well regardless of trend.

:( I actually thinking of getting a rimless pair soon :( Now half hearted already :( Don't like the nerdy and large glasses.. Prefer professional and sleek look.. How?
