no problem dude! :)

I made my Hoya 1.67 AS-MC (475/575) for S$110. We (colleagues & family) thought it's a very reasonable price.

My colleague, whose 'degree' is lower (200, both sides, I think) was quote between S$50-S$80 (sorry, I can't remember exactly). We thought it's pretty resonable too.

Something additional, the last I check (last Sat.), Hoya 1.70, for my prescription, was S$280 ! So, naturally, I stick to 1.67 for my new frame ..... :)

i think nikon lens better than honya lens but slightly more ex

If you make plastic frame, do you need high / mid index lens?

since the frame is thicker than a 1.5 index lens,

I had 2 pairs of Nikon prescripted at Capitol Optical @ Bras Basah in 2004-5 and both pairs' coating peeled after slightly more than 12 months.

Not sure if they are more expensive than Hoya, but I hope they have improved. Was si beh TL back then ...... til now ...... wahahahaha .....

Oops! Pai seh pai seh, forgot to drop the location. Sim Lim TOWER, Soon Lee Optical.

It actually majors in Rayban. I'm no shopping guru, but I dare say I haven't seen such healthy range from other optical shops. The price is also very reasonable. My Wayfarer 2113-A with the normal Rayban lens = S$110.

The many other shops in town (any many heartlands) should be ashame of themselves!

rayban have stocks frm 2 diff places. those MIC are way cheaper than the other one. :s13: think about it.

if u find scratches on your hard-coated lenses when you collect your new spectacles.

what you will do?

Will the salesperson just wipe it (including the coatings) off to remove the scratches?

Pardon me, but i really don't understand the hype about Tag Heuer frames. What's so fantastic about them? I find them much over-rated and over-priced. In Sg, in particular ..... haiz .....

too many ppl are having it nowadays......i go 10 optical shops, at least 8 will carry the brand.....but 3 pairs of tag later...i am still loving it...it is still one of the few brands that dont give me headache when i wear it....

i am still getting used to my other 2 prescription specs.

next spec i am lookin at either a porsche design or starck....:D

Anyone heard of this SUNACTIVESTM光之舞 lens?

http://www.leacro.com/new/prolist.asp?id=80

seems like produced in Singapore.

One shop in Bishan North Shopping Mall along Bishan St 22, is displaying the banner on this lens.

The lens used seems fits the description of that of the Future-X opthalmic lens by ILToptics.

In China, the lens darkening is up to 90% but in hot climates like Singapore's, the darkening is up to 70% as listed on ILToptics website.
