Just checking how long will it takes the transition lens to change color when in the sun? My Hoya transition lens still quite clear when standing in the sun for a few mins. But the shop when she put the spec into a uv cabinet for like 10mins n the lens become tinted...is this normal?

I think different lens take different amount of time. Mine if standing in direct sunlight in the afternoon takes about a minute but my dads one within 10sec can see it turn darker but takes longer to turn to the darkest color.

wahh.. i go google , crizal suppose to give the cloth and i dun have!! my lens dun really have a "tint" but the reflection from florescent light is green !!!

i think the price depends on the type of lens not degree.. i saw the SRP catalogue , some type only $90(?) , some $120 nia... i bought the type is $240 (2nd most ex , the 1st most ex is 1.74 index @ $420 ) .... got cert , no cloth LOL. sianz....

i also have my doubts, and therefore they send me a essilor authenticity card directly from Essilor Malaysia. The card is plastic and it should Crizal A2 1.67. I guess it becoz diff country ba?

std price , ask to see the catalogue if u not sure . got price stated there. but i think shops will "discount" on their own discretion ... i got ~ $100 off total price cos he quote me ~$200++ for nikon frame which is pretty high...

U can test the authentic by running water on the lens.. It should not stick water.. N crizal wording form on the lens .. Mine also crizal stylus A2 1.67 index.. 500 n 650 degree..
