Hi guys, I have a question.

Usually I make my lens from the optical shop near my neighbourhood, cost me around $60. However recently I made from Optical88 at the shopping mall, and the lens is $180. The description of the lens: Hizar 1.56 EMI UV.

May I know is it due to the location / brand of the store or is it a better quality lens I am getting?

brand of the lens is different. Normal lens vs branded lens. Not so sure abt quality becos all types of plastic lens tend to lose their coatings over time.

Any recommendation of places to make cheaper branded specs along with lenses? Looking to try crizal. Any brand of frame to recommend?

Thanks.

For those who have tried Crizal lens, are they any good? Do you still get smudges, scratches, dust etc? compared to whatever lens you used to have?

many people have the perception that it's scratch proof even though the advertising does not say so but gave the impression that it is like that.

What's the best way to take care of lens? Mine recent pair with Crizal lens starting to get tiny dots or scratches, even though I hardly wear. I already only using cold water to rinse and some ophthalmic lens cleaner to clean.

defects in the crizal lenses.. tiny dots occur when there are problems with the coating

just bought my specs from optical88, want to ask about the lenses pricing. i was quoted $189 (after 10% off) for delux 1.6 UV400 EMI HMC . my eye degree is -425/-475 . Is the price alright? the manager also very smart z.z starting show mi crizal lens one around <$50 more .. then she start talking about this delux with more feature like anti pc radiation(EMI?? isnt it same as anti-glare in other words?). then she talk about seiko one's @$150. Obviously ppl like mi will choose the most value for $ one ... >.< . only when i google then found out delux is their inhouse brand zz. if i know earlier i just pick the more reliable brands and pay more.
