i think oakley should just lower down the price of their spec frames. Becos so many ple are using them & they make them in china. I tot tat when supply is huge, prices shd go down??

Supply and demand works that way but not for branded goods; has you see LV lower their price or see Rolex watches lower their price?

Every morning, i see the same guy in the MRT with his oakley specs discolored & broken at the back.

our life is really tough. Branded goods can only be barely trusted nowadays & yet they are still so exp. The quality of unbranded goods are just getting worse & not cheaper & the whole temples got discolored after just a few months.

i agree that oakley is forward looking in style & originality which other off-brands are making imitations. Most likely its due to the branding that made the cost difference. However, im not so sure about the comfort level of their frames, heavier & the ears can grip till bleed.

What is comfortable and nice on u may not be suitable to others, considerations vary..

There are so many styles and range to choose from within the brands and others.

This is a free market and we only live once. If u think this brand is not worthy of the hefty price tag then go for a cheaper alternative or a wannabe copy cat. Whatever make u happy. :s13:

This guy with " oakley specs discolored & broken at the back." - you need to find out:
1. How long has he own this pair of frame
2. Is it ORIGINAL or imitation?

Need to check our assumptions.

But i do not knoe whether the price is justified. Its 5 times the price of the off-brands. Are we paying most for the logo brand?

It is about whether you are willing to pay the price for a frame. Just like brands like LV and BV, some are just not willing to pay thousands of dollars for a bag or close to 1K for a wallet.

Bottom line: Buy something that is within your budget. If you are only willing to pay $150 - 200 for a frame, do not consider the high-end brands.

E? Act oak got heavy frame models as well as v v light frame models. I tried on their transistor model and compare with other titanium no brand model. Really is much lighter.

But of cos, if u think carefully, what things that you buy do you think is really really worth the price tag? :D all companies also wanna make profit with big price tag.

But how many actually have the reputation n trustworthiness to do it n still survive?

Any recommendation of light weight and ultra comfortable kind of frames (as if not wearing spectacle)...?

... actually i'm looking for a full frame one and not those with grip that wraps around the head... and at the same time lightweight (something that won't add too much pressure on my nose... my degree is around 600).

My List of comfortable wear:
- Ic! Berlin
- Staffan Preutz Design
- Chamant
- anymore?
