yes, its the best frame (in terms of function & comfort) available at the current moment, with all the good design functions of other brands fused into one.

Th future of specs frames shd be going into this direction of design, whereby beta-titanium material used for the metal parts, clip hinges without utilisation of any screws, silicon nosepads similarly without the use of screws. This shd be the basic design function of general trend of spec frames going forward into the next generation of decades.

Lousy & non-functional frames with the use of screws, heavy & uncomfortably inflexible stainless steel parts of the frame fronts & temples should be eliminated & phased out in time to come. It is waste of $ & resources.

do you own urband frames for youself? It is sad that there are still so many frames out there with non-functional features & yet still selling at unreasonably high prices.

Go to Singapore poly and get them checked. You pay $5 and you help the students to improve their skills.

For optical shops, some will charge if you don't buy from them. Others might not release the PD since they know you buying elsewhere.

lol singapore poly is so damn far away from me.. i think i'll popby my regular optical shop, to get hold of my info..

hopefully they release lah.

Get your PD. For single vision. It is one reading but if you need progressives or bifocals, there will be two readings.

If you are familiar with the shop or a long term customer, they might just let you have a peek.

Hi everyone, I like to share with all of you a bad experience with this particular 'Everbright Optical Shop' at Bedok

The staff there admitted that the transparent wire was not placed properly in the groove of the lens which explained why the lens dropped. I can tell that the guy(the same guy) there was inexperienced as while fixing, he asked for help from his female colleague how to secure the wire. To make things worse, he bended my spec frames during the fixing process. So what I got was a 'pai kar' spectacles because when it was placed on the table, the specs didn't even rest parallel to the table.

Opposite toa payoh central BATA shop, there's this BIG optical store. WORST OPTICAL STORE EVER. Same experience as above user

When i secondary 3 go there make half rim, everything was good.
But then, one day the frame got bad, replace new frame, using old lens.

The new specs i gotten back was horror!!!
The nylon was so loose tht THE LENS COULD WRIGGLE AROUND. Is either optician's finger numb/paralyse or he's just couldn't be bothered!

I bought it to my fren's uncle optical shop @ TPY, and he tighten the nylon. He told me the tightness of nylon was way too unacceptable.

Lesson learned: The saying ''Trust the professionals'' term sometimes dont apply. Even though I know sometime is Lab fabrication fault, the optical shop still has ultimate responsibility to reject fractured glasses!

Nowadays I just go window shop frames, lens i will consider to make one if I find the sales person i talk to is knowledgable kind and not cut carrot type. If not, I usually no rush to make lens, it can be done anytime.

Are they actually any difference between crizal or any other branded lens as opposed to normal lenses (60 bucks for 1.6 index)?

If so, what are the recommended ones? Thanks

coating difference and quality control of the total precision of the lenses. better brands uses better materuals hence slow down age-ing effect (turning yellow) and minimise distortion. good value quality lenses are hoya imo, u might wanna get nikon seecoat if u can afford the premium..

Dont compare it with items found in Amazon or eBay... we can found it even $100 in eBay.... There is no guarantee that, those items are original... You wont get any warranty too...

Every shop in Singapore selling it for same price...

got cheated, just say got cheated.
