Does the warranty cover the melting of the side? Also, is tag heuer suitable for ladies? I was recommended to take the Roberto cavali frame with crystal cos look my Tai Tai but the frame is heavier..I that for comfort, a light frame with no complex design would be better

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't really find any clear feedbacks and reports regarding what I'm about to ask.

May I know if the branded frames smartbuyglasses.com.sg are authentic? Currently I'm looking at the Porsche P8205 frame which cost $335.95 at their site. At a neighborhood shop in Woodlands, I was quoted $500 for the frame which the shops claims original RRP is at $600+.

Otherwise, is there any respectable local shops carrying the Porsche Design series at reasonable price? :) TIA

I was advised to take the swaroski or Roberto cavali that had some crystal at the side which gives a Tai Tai look, but nice to look but not comfy cos not titanium. The min I put on the TH3101 Rimless with red sides, I look so sporty and it is so comfy..so, one is like a flat while another is a heels. SINCE I will investing in photofusion lens and likely to wear the specs, I think it is logical to choose one that is comfy even though it looks casual. The optician told me TH the sides tend to wear off easily and replacement is ex.

hi people, i have a Tag Heuer Automatic TH0801 (matte black) for sale.

Used for around half a day before deciding that it doesn't really suit me(my face is too small to pull it off).

Hence i'm willing to let it go at a discount(my loss your gain).

Comes with International Guarantee card, International Guarantee booklet, Tag Heuer wiping cloth and box.

interested parties kindly PM me

how much lighter are 1.74 lens as compared to 1.67 lens?

Even with 1.67 dbl AS lenses, it felt rather heavy. Wonder if 1.74 will make any diff at all.

Weight = density x volume

So 1.74 is thinner than 1.67 so naturally volume will be lesser, so doesnt it mean that it is also lesser in weight?

This one fits well.....no sliding problem. Have been wearing it for a week, so far OK. A good buy!

on second thoughts, 1.74 materials is compressed thus thinner but density is higher, so the deciding factor is not on whether its 1.67 or 1.74 index, but rather on the area of the lens. Meaning if the lens surface area is larger its heavier. If lens is smaller, the weight will be lesser. Thickness shouldnt count in the weight factor.

Am i right here?

hi guys, have been reading through this thread as i am thinking of making a new pair of specs as my current pair is heavily scratched...

could i ask wats the difference between Tokia Modecinq lens and Carl Zeiss lens? I also read that nowadays glass lens are not very popular - arent the tokia modecinq and carl zeiss lenses made of glass? if i am particular about anti-scratching, i assume i should go for glass lens as opposed to plastic lens?

My degree is about 850 with astig of about 200 for each eye. What lens would you recommend and what is the approximate cost of the lens? Many thanks!

I m a lady, thinking of getting tag heuer rimless frame with red size. Do u think it is a good idea, it feels v comfy but just look too casual. Also was told the rubber side would melt after long period of use and it is costly to replace.

2yrs+... the rubber side no sign of melting...and mine is a half frame.. silver portion no sign of paint dropping (tho can see fine scratches)..almost as good as new... tag heuer design is simple but material used i would say is very lasting/ at least i am much satisfied..

Thanks for your views. I thought tag heuer is v comfy...though might look a bit casual. But I felt for frequent use - comfortable is more important than form factor.
