erm i still dont understand about the index....isit higher better or wat? or isit depending on ur degree?? and also where is the best place to get tag heuer frames? is porche design or starck better? and any lens which is better than hoya?
It's called refractive index. In theory, the higher the number the more that particular type of plastic bends light rays, so the less is needed and the lens appears thinner
On whether it's better, like you said, depends on the degree, and cost.
High prescription means sides would be thicker for myopia wearers technically high index lenses reduces distortion and prismatic effects.... but the higher the index you go the lower the optical quality is.. it's more of a balancing thing. If you have like -8.00 you'll definitely find 1.67-1.74 better than 1.6 .
(tag heuers ) If price is a concern, go for a minor authorized dealer, they can be more flexible regarding prices if you know what you want. If it's the satisfaction of the purchase, I'll suggest places with a counter specifically for tag Heuer, like say eyechamp in nex, it's called a shop in shop? Range is bigger, you can see what you're buying , you won't get carrot headed, but no low ball prices either.
Posche and starck serve different markets. Porsche is generally colder, more metallic, looks modern.
Starck has an arty farty look to their glasses. More like modern arts. Porsche buyers tend to be more serious and want to look serious. Starck.... more casual, but is a casual chic thing not T-shirt shorts casual
A few of their designs of uncommon colours in places seen only at a certain angle.
Most labs would have something "better" than Hoya lenses but not in all areas. You can't say something's really better
