this wallet looks good.
my budget is $100-200. looking for a long lasting one.
my previous wallets (<$100), the edge where the thumb (in the pic below) is holding often fall apart, maybe due to material & poor seams...

will wallets like this pic one last longer? or any recommendations?

my ex-gf bought for me such a wallet by Braun Buffel in 2002. Used it till ko yak in 2006. Used my bro Braun Buffel wallet in 2006, used till ko yak in 2008. Now using a Poly World (bought in Thailand, good quality and soft)

Verdict: my wallet is fat with a lot of cards, on both times when I changed wallets, the wallet never breaks. It just that the wallet is old, the threads starts to appear and my mum ask me to change 'so that I do not disgrace myself that I do not have the money to buy a wallet'.

I heard from my colleague she bought Renoma and did not last long...and recommended Braun Buffel.

There is a Braun Buffel sale over the weekend till today. I bought 3 wallets and lots of other stuff. If you missed the sale, you can go to the department stores like Robinsons..some of them offer up to 20% discount. However, for this brand, most of the time is only 10% discount. That why during the sale, I saw the price discount by 30% for previous season stuff, I bought like $1K of products (briefcase, key holder, card holder, passport holder...heehee, same collection type).

The other consideration you need to have is the type of leather. There is calf leather, soft leather, etc. I like the smooth calf leather (a bit shiny one)...this is typically more expensive. Bad part is because it is not soft, my wallet normally conforms to my butt shape, ie C shape after some time. The recent ones what I bought is scratch-resistence. Scatch-resistance leather is similar to those LV ones, feel bit like plastics...got 'curvings design'.

i got a bad shock seeing those poorly crafted prada wallets being put out on display..
one got an A misaligned, the other with glue stains on the edges and very bad stitching..
