In addition to Horween (US) & Shinki (Japan), there are also Clayton (England) & Rocardo (Italty).

What options do I have for short bifold brown cordovan wallets? OGL OOS liao..

Something like this but perhaps in a more standard bifold style

Out of stock as in their online shop, or u had visited them at their new shop, which is only opening tomorrow?

I am sure if u are willing to wait, OGL can make this for u (unless all their shell leather fully booked from their Japan trunk show).

Hi!

Anyone familiar with corterleather over here? I need some help in deciding which wallet to get. As corterleather recently launched their new snapback wallet, I am very eager to get my hands on them but I am contemplating between that and obbigood label's condor mid wallet.

Anyone have any experience with this two wallet and able to give me any advice? Corter's snapback is around 4" tall with 6 card slot and no coin compartment and obbigood's is around 6" tall with 4 card slot and a coin compartment. Which one would be a better buy?

There's a Thai shop by the name of Nerb Handcraft who uses nice Horween Cordovan. You might wanna check it out.

I have not bought from any of the above. Just happened to come across them while surfing around.

If i'm not wrong, there's only 2 places producing Shell Cordovan.

Horween from the states & Shinki in Japan. There's always a debate on whose is better... it's like comparing pepsi to coke.

There are actually quite a few tanneries currently producing shell cordovan. 8 that I know of for sure

- Horween (USA)
- Shinki Hikaku (Japan)
- Clayton & Sons (UK)
- Rocinante (Argentina)
- Comipel SRL (Italy)
- Rocado SRL (Italy)
- Maryam SRL (Italy)
- Conceria Cloe (Italy)
- Possibly another in Japan called Alps??

I'm sure there may be a few others out there experimenting/developing or haven't been discovered... mainly in Italy where there are an absurd amount of tanneries.

Although there are 8, it isn't necessarily that high. Shinki Hikaku provides the shells to Comipel and they just dye them so they're basically the same shell cordovan.

Something similar is done between Rocado SRL and Maryam SRL. One supplies the other.

If you have questions on any of them, let me know as I've handled (and currently own at least 1 shell) from each of the 6 tanneries.

Just received my Chestermox #90 Barenia Wallet today!
...after quite a bit of delay (approx 2 weeks+ from Chestermox), but it's alright no rush from my side.

Now just hope the wallet will last with a nice patina haha!

Beautiful wallet and photography! Bellanie does some absolutely stunning work. Definitely worth the price. She has a Massdrop right now for a card holder in 4 different colors as well for under $60 which is a steal. Go check it out!

The stitching is functional not aesthetic.

Unless you like the look of stitching running all throughout your wallet lah then I get why you woukd have an issue.
