I actually just collected my custom bag from OGL today.

Using Japanese water buffalo leather. It's quite thin and light.

bought their Brave series as it was on sale. really love the color of it. never regret it.

US$200 after discount for their shell bifold is good value. Similar one from Guardgoods is US$260.

Not to mention if buy locally from their store, likely more discount.

Any good brands for men's outdoor wallet?
Want to find one that's longlasting and waterproof.

Leather wallets are not really waterproof. Need something plastic or rubber with air-tight ziploc seal

Hi guys, is there any place/forum i can look to on reviews/opinions on the different leather wallets available in the market?

Thus far what i gather was the only brands out there worth buying for quality is either BV or Hermes.

Chestermox, Obbi good label, holdall and co.

You'll be paying for the leather not the branding.

please share what is it that u like about this wallet?
Novonappa and museum calf.. Both rare and exotic leathers leh. The only way to one up these leathers would be to use reptile skins which would push the price insanely high.

Novonappa used to be called barenia which used to be supplied exclusively to Hermes to make a very limited selection of their bags. It's thick, heavy, yet extremely soft, supple and patinates very well.

FWIW i personally dislike museum calf. =s

Like darthsid had mentioned, would definitely love to try either Barenia or Museum Calf. And this company seems quite good rated for their craftmanship and source from top leather tannery why not.

I believe Equus Leather (belt) also source their Barenia from the same French tannery Chester Mox are getting from.

Barenia ONLY comes from one tannery. Anw you missed their xmas sale which was 25% off. For the material, craftsmanship and bearing in mind your orders are made to order.. This is far cheaper than something comparable which is branded though. Although slightly steep, but well worth every penny.
