so sorry this watch thread also partly to blame at the peak of the Bambino wave in 2014 to early 2015, people here hooted an average 2 bambino per week

$150 was the 2014 to early 2015 pricing, after discount
with its current 234 pricing, even if the shop give you 20-30%, its still back to its 2014 pricing (before discounts)

there should still have some watch shops in China town which never really increase the price much... can try people's park complex and Bras basah

Actually watchuseek Steinhart subforum did a comparison amongst all 3 and found the OVM Maxi to be the closest homage. I have to agree with them. It has a domed acrylic crystal instead of sapphire and the indices are not as bright "yellow" as the mk1. The maxi has a more beige tone. In terms of dial writing, mk1 is closer.

To the person who wants a Steinhart, you can look around carousell. There are a few OVM maxis going around. Price is higher however, as it's a 300 piece limited edition with the serial number(#/300) engraved on the case back. The caseback is very similar to the Rolex 5517 too.

I believe SBDC033 is the new version of the same watch, maybe easier to find..

Bigtime has both 003 and 033 for $638 on their listing, updated as of Feb. Unless price suddenly surged, someone really tried to chop you.

5517 acrylic slight domed.
And 5517 indices are supposed to be white but because of tritium aging, patina is formed that's why the yellow. So there's no 100% close to what 5517 yellow is. Some are more yellow some are less.
I would say dial mk1 is the closest to 5517.
But yes case back is almost similar
The maxi one is just to milk ppl.
