I've driven almost every current Mercedes model and the entry level A180 urban is really crappy in terms of spec and on road performance... Go for the A250 or better yet, a C180. You won't regret it.

the A and B class really cheapen the merc brand. want the proper merc experience, go for E or S class.

I've read many articles about them and I know about the five manufacturers commissioned to make them. However, what I look for is not just purely heritage. The style of the case, hands and dial also matter to me. And it just so happens that I like the modern iterations of the pilot watches. I know the propellor hands are kinda weird but it's just the way I like them

Alpina has good pretty nice modern takes on pillot watches. Some models with an in house movement too. Solid build quality and very reasonably priced.
