东风發也不错, $4.50 吃得饱饱, 好吃肉又多又鲜嫩, 加饭才三角钱, 何必去高级文华酒店吃三十块又未必吃得爽呢? 那些钱都给那招牌给赚, 本钱还不是跟别处的鸡一样, 除非说鸡的来源不同。

Nothing wrong with having $30 chicken rice once in a while to pamper oneself. One can be thrifty without being a miser.

Thinking of a Damasko for a beater, how is the hardened steel? Really hard to scratch or ?

Only diamonds can scratch it. Look at the reviews, and the resale section. Many damasko owners rarely sell their watches. Better than Sinn tegimented steel.

As one poster here eloquently put it, Quartz watches are sadly more accurate
So I'm starting my <sadly accurate> watches week, hoping to put some love on Quartz/related timepieces, and not just be seen as a cheap & inferior technology
Also a _|_ to all the mechanical elitists out there

You really have got a very short fuse. I wasn't even directing my statement at Grand Seikos or even Seiko Quartz, more like Daniel Wellingtons. If you have one DW to wear good for you. It's probably more accurate than my mechanicals, proving that Quartz IS more superior for accuracy, but DW still a POS overhyped crap. I'm sorry if you felt hurt that I insulted your Quartz watches, you really don't need to keep calling names now and then to provoke a response. We're all adults here. And I have a Tissot Quartz Chrono btw.

Anyways, guess I'll just stop posting if people are so easily offended by opinions in this thread. Cheers.
