I also do a lot of desk diving...

I also use the chronograph quite often when I send my boy to child care. Got to time and leave the carpark within 10 minutes avoid charge!

See... uses in daily life!

昨晚有个錶友给我发了一条私信。。。

You really buy a mechanical watch for its function? World timer/GMT will be practical, but divers, chronos, Moonphase on the other hand....
Well I guess I have lots of useless watches then :s13:
I run my Chrono every 2 weeks for fun just to see that it's working. :s12:

Wouldnt get the speedy although I understand it's a classic but I am steering away from chronos unless I use it frequently but most do not even use the function.

Why not? I also didn't think I'll use chrono much, but after I got the speedy, I time every damn thing with it.. From cooking eggs to timing the mid-course correction burn on my lunar module's reaction control system..

I understand that, I do that as well just for fun.
But I don't think you buy the watch based on whether you will use the chrono function right?
Personally I buy for the idea that it is a chrono, not because I will use it.

Lol, of course not. Watches are a vanity thing today, let's not kid ourselves. The most basic watch is also redundant when people are spending 80-90% of their time awake looking at different screens.. Handphone when commuting, the car dashboard with a clock there, computer screen at the office where you can see the time by hoovering your mouse at the taskbar.. You don't really need a time function either.

The only time I really need a stopwatch is the gym. It's too ley chey to just keep switching to the clock app so I get a cheap Casio for that. Why would I wear my expensive heavy chrono to hit it against all the metal bars. :s13:

I bought my chronos because I like having a lot of different dials on my watch face and I'd feel stupid if they were non-functional. Simple as that. :s13::s13:

Which is why I'm surprised by rboyboy's comment, I thought it's a pure vanity decision these days, I mean who really use the minute repeater function to tell time at night due to bad vision?
I don't even use the date function if there is no quickset :o ... the only function I actually use is the worldtimer/dual-time when traveling.
