Guys, seriously contemplating trading up my 2-liner Pelagos for a LHD one. The red Pelagos font and roulette date wheel are just too kickass. Should I do it?

Seeking GS Spring Drive recommendation

Lurker here looking for advice from GS old birds like @slow_mo. :)

I like the Snowflake a lot but the price is really beyond my budget (local AD lists it for >$10k , that's basically twice my budget). So I'm looking for a similar watch with less high-end features.

1. 9R65/66 Spring Drive movement
2. Stainless (unless Ti doesn't cost much more)
3. Light-coloured dial (Is sunburst the "baseline" for GS?)
4. Date and power reserve
5. Blue second hand (unless it cost a lot more)

And where is the best shop in SG for me to buy one? Or should I try in SG and buy online? TIA!

(My best watch now is a Tissot PRC200 Powermatic 80. A little disappointed with its accuracy and how easy it gets magnetised.)

I think a bnib snowflake is much less than 10k

Can try hunting for it. Based on my monitoring of sales thread on Carousell and Facebook.

Good luck!

Can consider this if you don't mind no spring drive & power reserve.

I don't mind preowned. Besides Carousell, where else can I look for used ones?

I also don't think it should cost so much. I went went to World of Watches at Wisma Atria and was told that the Snowflake has been OOS for a while. The other GS models on display were also really expensive.

I'm only looking for Spring Drive though. I'm fascinated by the tech.

Firstly, I'm no GS expert. a562140 and pwillie both have a vast collection of GSs. Secondly, I'm not an old bird... actually I'm quite young 😂!

Back to serious stuff. A GS Snowflake BNIB is about 6k+ from either grey or overseas AD. You might be able to get one for about 7k+ from a local AD.

Enjoy your hunt!

Any local grey dealer or overseas AD to recommend? I read here that GS watches all come with global warranty so I should be covered, right?

By the way nice limited ed GS you have there!

Was at Taipei Xi Meng Ding area recently. There is a seiko boutique which offered me the snowflake a little more than S$6k. If u have friends going to TW maybe can ask them to help you buy.
