Went to window shop many watches today including the Cortina sale. So far, the level of polishing and finish of a Grand Seiko really impressed me. It even holds up to its Swiss counterparts of equivalent or even higher pricing. The traditional Zaratsu technique used to polish the case gives it a mirror finish which is so impeccable if you see it in the flesh. I reckon it will look even better under natural sunlight.

2016 has been arguably my biggest year both personally and horogically. Some of these watches are gone but not forgotten. Here's to hoping that 2017 will be a even more fulfilling and gratuitous year. Happy new year my friends!!!

My last hoot for the year (got this is mid December)!!! So what are you wearing as the last watch of 2016?

Although Rolex was my first luxury watch, I grow to like Seiko more. The different texture in the dial, the smooth sweeping hand of Spring Drive, the accuracy of the 9F quartz are just some of what GS has to offer.

yeah, such discussion pop out between my friends too..
ppl who ask such question have the stereotype that ang mo makes better things than asians..

swiss better than a $10 seiko (seikos are all $10 cheapo watches to them)
ferrari is better than a nissan skyline GTR

etc etc.

but people who knows their stuffs will know that Seiko is just as beautiful (the red GS with see thru caseback and the movement is color tinted(??), is even nicer than some rolexes liao lo) and accurate...

but ya la, end of the day, its ur money, you are wearing it for yourself :D :D :D

but...u wont go wrong with a GS la :D

Here's a butt shot for bro indigo22.
