Nice watch, mind sharing model and roughly price to expect?

this is "sea urchin" snzf15j with stock pepsi bezel,
- double sapphire dome
- ceramic batman bezel
- mercedes hands

ive paid more than 430 becos made in japan with warranty and with original parts. few days old, willing to let go 400 becos as mentioned i prefer slightly bigger watch but 41mm seems perfect to many

Look what came in the mail folks! Straight from Japan 🇯🇵!!!

Man this piece is just gorgeous to stare at!!! Inspired by the perpetually snowy region of Shiojiri, Suwa Japan, where the GS studio is located, the aptly termed "Snowflake dial" is one of the best dials I've ever held and seen up close. The Japanese really love incorporating nature with art, which is highly evident with Grand Seikos.

Three things I really love about this piece: 1. The traditional blade polishing technique known as Zaratsu, gives this watch a mirror-like finish in the case, hands, and indices which are unlike any I've ever seen before. 2. The Snowflake dial. Duh. 3. The Seiko patented Spring Drive movement, which reunites the romance and intricacy of a mechanical movement with the accuracy of a quartz movement. This results in the striking blue second hand to glide marvelously and extremely smoothly around the dial.

Imo, a GS easily competes or even exceeds its Swiss counterparts of equivalent or higher price point. It shows the Japanese's pathological obsession with their craft and details. It perfectly embodies the Japanese culture and the attributes which they hold to the highest of regards: Passion, dedication, precision, efficiency and attention to detail.

Here's the kicker, the watch is not mine 😩😩😩

P.S This piece was purchased from Omicronwatches.jp and I handled the emails and communication with the owner, Masahiro-San. He was extremely prompt with the replies and was very efficient and understanding. I highly recommend them. It took 3 days for it to arrive to SG.

Lol didnt feel it eh.. its a good solid watch but just no connection..

wah, it's a cult man's watch with strong dial dna from the 1960s omega seamaster 300 leh... sayang man! :( better don't have seller's remorse, hor. not to say difficult to find, but prices are maintaining very well and creeping up as available supply is limited.

Asked earlier but tio neglected, anyone familiar with omega seamaster with the blue wave dial and the newer ceramic one? TIA! Worth to hoot mah?

to me, there's only 1 omega seamaster that matters (apart from the iconic 1960s seamaster 300 and 1970s ploprof): the omega 2254.50 (along with its wave-dial, sword hands siblings, the electric blue & great white gmt.) :s12:

the skeleton hands "bond" seamaster & the co-axial seamasters may have their fans, but the omega 2254.50 is a cult man's watch for a/many reason(s). :D

my review of my 2254.50: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/f...hread-part-9-a-5265967-550.html#post101370464

Damn, this is one beautiful watch

thanks, i think its great diver watch for non divers becos you hv to pay premium for the extra depth (on the bigger brothers) and watch gets heavier too. i was going to source for a more vintage look insert so i may continue with that project down the road. i need the ability to swap looks depending on my mood 😀
