I think may be due to weak currency of MYR. So far have not heard any increase for Singapore

However i remember Patek also had two price revisions in 2015 due to currency fluctuations in that period. (that's when i bought one)

but Zonda is right, buy first! If you are going to get a Rollie anyway, don't wait

just want to report my succcess with the $18 demagnetiser (cheaper than an uber ride to the watch service centre)


speedmaster was +60-70 seconds per day
now almost back to COSC (tho we know c1861 isn't COSC):

tangente was +20-25 seconds per day
its reduced but could do better.

Just went to try the latest Baby Tuna SRPA82K1. Looks so much nicer than SRP639 series and the SBDN028 series.

But I not sure if I prefer it more than the SBBN031, the real Tuna. Decisions decisions~

I wasn't sure if the information was the usual salesperson speech, but I was told the same thing, rumours of a price increase in February or March.

Thought the trend is to increase prices in September or October?

I was at KL last weekend, lol before price increase the rolex boutique/AD all packed machiam sale like that.

The increment was 6%. My local AD kaki said sg will increase sooner rather than later. This increase is by rolex, apparently they do not consider if economy good anot. Its just a annual exercise to enhance the value of the brand. Rolex consider late liao, compared to JLC , Omega and Breitling. Rest of brands i not so sure...

Wanna buy, buy if u got the spare $. Mai tu liao, might be able to get slight discount given the upcoming increase.

High chance magnetised by iPad or Apple Watch.

My watch magnetised by Apple Watch before

Lepsi app. It is very accurate if you can pinpoint the exact location of the magnetic sensor (for iPhone 7 plus it is just left of the top speaker). I've tried demagnetizing my speedy but the sensor still reads high magnetism on the watch. Despite being read as magnetized, After 12 hours it only gained 3 seconds versus the 30+ seconds before. I might still send it in to swatch to have the entire case demagnetized.

As for the source of the magnetism, I guess it is my iPad cover and also storage in the watch box next to my Apple Watch Nike+. Apple devices are bad.




Btw I'm drooling at that latest Nomos acquisition in this thread.

If you like tuna, save a bit more and get the emperor tuna, it uses an undecorated Grand Seiko movement, the 8L35.

Normal mode only shows mag or no mag. I switched to configuration mode to see a value. With my speedy it can hit 200+ on the case back. Nomos and Rolex hovers around 50-52. Baseline value is 48 which is also what my Pelagos reads at since it is mostly titanium.

All my watches are magnetized!!!
