I bought a pre-owned subC date and realised that there's something wrong with the winding. After I give it a few rounds of winding, the watch is functioning accurately but it's just that when you wind it slowly, you can feel and hear grinding sound.

The watch is within the 5 years warranty. I went back to the seller to inform him of this but he brushed it off by stating that since the watch is within warranty, I should bring it to rsc for check.

I did wind the watch normally before purchasing it, everything is fine as usual. But when you wind it slow, there's definitely something wrong with it.

The question is should the seller do something to clarify this or it's my negligence for not inspecting it thoroughly

I am not sure if I am not suppose to feel or hear anything at all, as it is a mechanical movement. That's like asking a car with a petrol engine to run like a Tesla?

Its like winding on butter.
But grinding sound is expected due to gears.

Just wanted to find out more from bro onthehindsight about a grinding sound.

I definitely can understand the expectations of buying an expensive watch, and I do agree with bro GX84, if really worried, just send it to RSC.
